Best Ways to Earn Credit
Starfield has many options for earning credits in the game. There are some ways to earn honest credit, but for the most part, you will be selling contraband, looting and lock-picking stuff. Here are all the ways to earn good credits in Starfield.
Main and Side Quests
Main and side quests give a pretty good amount of credit throughout the journey. You can check how much credit you will get before accepting a side quest from the mission board. For main quests, you will just have to complete the mission to see. They are not only a good source of credit but also XP. So, if you want to experience what the game has to offer in terms of side content, check them out and make some honest credit while doing it.
Join Factions that Earn Money
Crimson Fleet, Ryujin Industries, and Xenofresh Corporation are some of the factions that prioritise earning money above anything. You can join these factions to get access to their mission board. This mission board has some high-paying missions for the players to complete. Complete these missions to get a good amount of credit.
Loot and Sell Gears
As you take out enemies, you will be able to loot them. Loot everything you can find and sell them at vendors to earn some credit. Some gears can fetch good prices while others are not that good. So, you will need to know which ones are worth picking up. This method also comes with a weight problem. You can only carry so much on you. Reaching the weight limit will block the fast travel option and consume O2 even if you are not running.
For that reason, it is strongly recommended you invest in Weight lifting to get the carrying capacity up. That way, you will be able to carry more loot and sell them to earn more credit.
Get Commerce and Scavenging Skills
Commerce will increase the price of the item you sell. At level 1, it increases the price by 5% and only gets better with more levels. Scavenging will increase the chance of finding higher-quality gear while you are looting. Higher quality gears fetch more price at the shops. So these two skills are necessary if you want to earn lots of credit in a short time.
Sell Contrabands
Contrabands are the most valuable items you can sell in Starfield. But some of the planets will scan you as soon as you arrive at it. If they find contraband on your ship, it will be confiscated. So, you need to invest in shielded storage. This is where you can store contraband to hide it from the scanner. Even though it has some initial investment costs, this is by far the best way to earn a huge amount of credit quickly.
