How to Craft Bow and Arrow in Sons of the Forest
While the bow and arrow may not be the most powerful weapon in Sons of the Forest, it is a versatile and practical tool that can greatly aid players in their quest for survival. As players explore the vast and treacherous forest environment, the bow and arrow can be a valuable asset in their fight for survival.
Moreover, crafting a bow and arrow is only a matter of some sticks, clothes, and ropes in Sons of the Forest. To be more specific, you will also need tape, rope, rocks, feathers, and more. Once crafted, you will soon discover how handy these items are. Now, off to the recipes.
How to Craft Bow
To craft a simple Bow, you will need the followings:
- 1x Duct tape: Duct Tape is quite rare. However, you will have some luck in containers, campsites, caves, and beaches.
- 1x Rope: You will find rope on beaches, caves, cliffs, and cannibal camps.
- 2x Sticks: By far, the most common item you can name. Can be found almost everywhere.
Okay, so to craft a bow in Sons of the Forest, open your inventory by pressing “I.” Then, grab some sticks and right-click on them twice—once on tape or rope and again on the rope. After that, click the little cogwheel up in the top right corner. You now have a fully functional bow. You can equip it by left-clicking or putting it in your quick inventory in your backpack.
How to Craft Compound Bow
To acquire this Compound Bow, you must dig it out from an underground bunker. You will come across this bunker on the Southern part of the island. To be specific, it is a walking distance from the airplane crash site.
Now, all you have to do is, walk toward the crates, and soon you will get notified about digging out. Bring out your shovel and start digging until you find the entrance to that bunker. Once inside, explore the bunker until you find the Compound Bow.
Needless to say, it works much better than the simple crafted one. Moreover, the range and damage are far better than the crafted one.
How to Craft Arrow
Now, let’s learn the ammo that goes with the bow. Simply, you will not just put a rock and aim it at those cannibals.
- 2x Feathers: You can get feathers from birds. Either kill them for it or farm them and then kill them for it; you have options.
- 4x Small Rocks: You will find rocks almost here and there. Keep a keen eye.
- 2x Sticks: Again, the most common item. Watch out everywhere.
