Rainbow Six Siege legend ‘Pengu’ has signed a new contract with DarkZero Esports as a content creator.

Niclas “Pengu” Mouritzen announced the start of his new chapter with the American esports organization of DarkZero. Check out the announcement below:

Niclas Pengu Mouritzen is one of the most decorated players in Rainbow Six Siege. His massive experience in the game can be backed up with his trophies, which includes 4x Pro League, 2 back-to-back Invitationals, one European title, and most recently the November Six Major.

In March of this year, Pengu retired as a competitive Siege player and has been working as a content creator, focusing mostly on Siege. But, during the November Six Major, Pengu stepped his feet onto the lands of casting, partnering up with Interro.

Fans should not get their hopes up too high expecting Pengu to come out of retirement as a player. But Pengu has sarcastically teased that he might even join DZ’s main R6 roster as a player someday. Pengu’s long-running rival Troy “Canadian” Jaroslawski already plays for DZ, so seeing this legendary duo play competitively together will be extraordinary.

Alongside him, Pengu’s fiancée will also be moving from G2 Esports to DarkZero’s content team.

“The duo comes to DZ after Pengu moved full time to Las Vegas. The iconic partnership will feature Pengu and Ryy streaming and producing content alongside the DZ squads full time. Pengu and Ryy come with an extensive resume of streaming, photography, and Rainbow Six Siege content that fits perfectly into DarkZero’s vision for player-centric content,” said DZ in their blog post.
