Survival in S.T.A.L.K.E.R. 2: Heart of Chornobyl is not just about fighting mutants and hostile Stalkers but also about careful resource management.
Weapons, ammo, and even food are hard to come by in the Zone, and as such you’ll need to thoroughly scavenge for resources and use Coupons, the Zone’s currency, to buy items from merchants.
There are three types of shops you can find in S.T.A.L.K.E.R. 2, Traders, Medics, and Technicians.
Most Traders sell consumables and allow you to trade your items in for Coupons, while some also sell weapons and armor.
Medics sell healing items and can also path you up to remove the bleeding status condition.
Technicians, unlike Traders and Medics, do not sell any items. Instead, they can upgrade and repair your weapons and armor.
Moreover, most merchants are part of a faction, and having good relations with their respective factions can also earn you discounted prices.
