The ability to recall together is a unique feature for Xayah and Rakan. But on the new Arcana skins, duo recall will not have any new animations.
Xayah and Rakan were released together, and they had shared skins for the most part. However, they have one skin that is not shared between them. Xayah recently got Brave Phoenix Xayah, and Rakan had an iG Rakan skin as a world skin. But for every shared skin, there was a new joint recall animation for Xayah and Rakan. Unfortunately, Arcana Xayah and Rakan will not have duo recall animation.
Arcana Recall Animations
Arcana is one of the best skin lines in League of Legends. And the 2nd wave of Arcana skins is rolling out in patch 12.7 with Arcana Ahri, Xayah, Rakan, Ryze, and Hecarim skins. The best part of the Arcana skin line is probably the recall animation. During Recalls, the champions create a pose, and a border appears around them, making it look like a tarot card or something.
No Duo Recall Animation for Arcana Xayah and Rakan
So, with the new Xayah and Rakan Arcana skins, players saw the individual recall animations, and they are gorgeous. Generally, they expected something similar for the joint recall animation. But Riot has confirmed on the PBE feedback thread for Arcana Xayah and Arcana Rakan that they didn’t develop any new animations for joint recall.
Riot said, “the decision to not include Duo recall was made early in the development and we were unable to make it in short time before the release.”
This suggests they decided not to include joint recalls early in the development. And now they don’t have enough time to create a new recall animation so close to the release.
Feedback From the Community.
Although having a Xayah and Rakan both with the same skin in a game may be a rare occasion, the fans are furious at this decision from Riot. The feedback on both of the Reddit posts is fans criticizing this decision from Riot.
The skins are still in the PBE and have some time left before their official release on patch 12.7. So fans will surely hope that Riot fixes their mistake and creates an awesome joint recall animation for the lover duo in the bot lane.
