Ubisoft’s live-service FPS shooter, Rainbow Six Siege is about to conclude its ninth year with the upcoming update Y9S4 Operation Collision Point.
The latest season of Rainbow Six Siege has already been teased a couple of times on social media by Ubisoft, and Blackbeard rework seems to be one of the big changes coming this season.

When will R6S Y9S4 Reveal Panel Take Place?
As officially announced by Ubisoft, Rainbow Six Siege Y9S4 Operation Collision Point full reveal panel will take place on November 17 at 11:00 AM PT / 8:00 PM CET.
As stated earlier, Blackbeard is set a receive a noticeable rework in Y9S4. His face shield is set to be replaced by a proper handheld shield, slightly smaller in size than Fuze or Blitz’s shields.
However, we can see in the teaser video that Blackbeard can push a button to lower the transparent top part and use his primary weapon by placing it on top of the shield.
Without proper gameplay, it is tough to say if this rework will make him overpowered or not. With the recent frustrations with Shield operators, the timing for Ubisoft to introduce a reworked Blackbeard shield is already putting some Siege fans in concern.
