Rainbow Six Siege’s latest Patch Y9S3.3 is releasing today across all platforms, and some big buffs are coming for a bunch of operators.
Ubisoft came out with a big surprise with the new Y9S3.3 Patch. Rainbow Six Siege players are quite accustomed to seeing operators getting nerfed with each patch.
However, Siege’s upcoming update includes all buffs, positively surprising the whole Siege community. Attackers like Iana, Zero, Kali and even defenders like Mozzie are on the list of operators getting a change in this patch.

R6S Y9S3.3 Patch Notes
IANA
- Reduced hologram cooldown when destroyed to 20 seconds (from 30).
Iana’s holographic drone has always been underused as the cooldown time of the gadget once it is destroyed is too long, by when the round is almost over. So reducing it to 20 seconds should increase the frequency of deploying the clone.
JACKAL
- Removed distortion caused by bullets.
When Jackal’s Eyenox gadget is activated, the vision can get distorted when receiving bullet damage. So to bring more comfortability in keeping the visor activated, the devs have removed this distortion effect.
KALI
- Added Smoke Grenades.
CSRX-300
- Reduced bullet trail duration and size.
Kali’s white bullet trail easily warns defenders of her position. So to make it a bit difficult to judge Kali’s position, the size and duration of the Sniper bullet trail is reduced.
MOZZIE
- Increased Pests to 4 (from 3).
- Added Impact Grenades.
Mozzie is getting more freedom with 4 Pests now, so players won’t have to second guess whether to save some pests for mid-round or use it in the prep phase.
ZERO
- Increased Argus cameras to 6 (from 4).
The devs have surprisingly increased Zero’s camera count to 6 from 4, which increases Zero’s total number of visual intel devices to 8 (6 cams + 2 standard drones). This makes Zero one of the best intel-providing operators right now in the game
ZOFIA
- Removed Breach Charges.
- Added Hard Breach Charges.
Zofia seems a little underplayed in Siege in the recent meta, so the devs are trying to give her more supporting gadgets like the secondary hard-breach charge. However, many players turned to Zofia for her soft-destruction ability with the launcher and the soft breach charges, which has now been removed from her loadout, so is this an actual buff, we are not sure.
The new Y9S3.3 Patch is releasing today at 09:00 EDT / 13:00 UTC on all platforms with an hour of maintenance period. So make sure to hop on to try out the new changes.
