Ubisoft has revealed the latest set of changes coming to Rainbow Six Siege with the Y11S1.3 update, and this one is more about refinement than a huge meta shakeup. Instead of completely reworking operators or flipping the ranked environment upside down, the update focuses on operator tuning, recoil improvements, map fixes, bug fixes, and a few quality of life improvements. The official patch notes were published on May 5, 2026.

Rainbow Six Siege Y11S1.3 Focuses on Smaller Balance Adjustments

According to Ubisoft, the goal of this patch is not to dramatically change the power level or flexibility of operators. Instead, Y11S1.3 is designed to polish gameplay details, improve consistency, and make certain operators feel a little smoother without forcing a major meta shift.

The changes are significant, especially for operators like Caveira, Vigil, Warden, Kaid, and Zero, as well as weapons such as the AUG A2, M762, and Spear .308.

Caveira Gets a Silent Step Buff

Caveira receives a noticeable improvement to Silent Step in Y11S1.3. The maximum resource duration has been increased from 12 seconds to 15 seconds, giving her more time to move quietly and look for flanking opportunities. However, the total refill time has also increased from 12 seconds to 15 seconds.

Caveira players now get a longer window to reposition, rotate, or pressure attackers from unexpected angles. The longer refill time keeps the buff from becoming too oppressive, but the extra duration should make her feel more reliable in the right hands.

Kaidโ€™s Electroclaw Is Now Faster

Kaid also gets a small but useful improvement. His RTILA Electroclaw activation time has been reduced from 4 seconds to 3.5 seconds.

On paper, half a second may not look huge, but in Siege, timing matters. A faster Electroclaw can help Kaid respond better during mid-round situations, especially when attackers are trying to clear utility or open reinforced walls. This should make him slightly more responsive without changing his core role as a strong wall denial defender.

Vigil Can Stay Hidden for Longer

Vigilโ€™s ERC 7 has also been improved. Its maximum resource duration has been increased from 12 seconds to 15 seconds, while the total refill time has also increased from 12 seconds to 15 seconds.

Warden Gets a Small Glance Smart Glasses Buff

Wardenโ€™s Glance Smart Glasses now last slightly longer. The maximum resource duration has gone from 20 seconds to 22 seconds, and the total refill time has also increased from 20 seconds to 22 seconds.

Zeroโ€™s Argus Camera Becomes More Active

Zero gets one of the more practical changes in the update. The laser refill time on his Argus Camera has been reduced from 15 seconds to 12 seconds.

Weapon Recoil Changes in Rainbow Six Siege Y11S1.3

Y11S1.3 also includes several weapon recoil adjustments. The AUG A2 has reduced vertical recoil on both PC and console, affecting IQ and Wamai. The M762 has reduced horizontal recoil on PC, affecting Zofia. The Spear .308 has reduced first-shot kick and reduced vertical recoil on both PC and console, affecting Finka and Thunderbird.

These changes should make all three weapons feel more controlled, especially during longer sprays or repeated engagements. Zofia players in particular may want to test the M762 again, since improved horizontal recoil can make the weapon feel much more predictable.

Map and Level Design Fixes

The update also fixes several map-related issues. Ubisoft has fixed a problem where defensive barriers were missing when entering Landmark Drill or Target Drill modes on Villa. In Oregon, players can no longer use the exterior construction generator to gain an unfair line of sight. Yacht also received a fix where defenders were incorrectly marked as outside when entering the second-floor kitchen pantry.

Operator Bug Fixes in Y11S1.3

Several operator-related bugs have also been addressed. Solid Snake had two fixes, including one where the left directional pad button had two simultaneous functions and another where Frag Grenades were always highlighted in the gadget HUD after spawning. Ubisoft also fixed Lionโ€™s EE One D screen appearing blank when using his default model.

Oryx received a fix for an issue where his Climb ability could be used with a Proximity Alarm, allowing him to use his weapon in situations where he should not have been able to. Azami also had a Border map issue fixed, where her Kiba Barrier allowed operators to vault under the stairs.

Audio and User Experience Fixes

Y11S1.3 also includes an audio fix for a fire extinguisher sound bug. Previously, when a fire extinguisher exploded, the sound effect could be missing unless Ela or Zofia were present in the match.

On the user experience side, Ubisoft fixed an issue where banned accounts could accept invites to custom online lobbies. The patch also fixes Shop tab navigation after purchasing Paragon and Elite Masterpiece bundles, operator stacking in the Hub screen, and inaccurate voice chat input sensitivity text.

Rainbow Six Siege Y11S1.3 does not look like a meta-breaking update, but it still gives several operators a small boost in practical gameplay. Caveira and Vigil should feel better for roaming, Warden gets slightly more value in execute denial, Kaid becomes a bit faster with wall denial, and Zero gains more frequent gadget pressure.

The weapon changes may end up being the most noticeable part of the patch for many players. Reduced recoil on the AUG A2, M762, and Spear .308 could make these weapons more appealing again, especially for players who value consistency over raw firepower.
