Typically, verifying or repairing the game files should fix this error. However, sometimes it may require more than verifying or repairing to fix this issue in MW2. In that case, rolling back the drivers to the previous working one would be the optimal solution.

- For Nvidia users, Go to your GeForce Hotfix Driver Version 526.61> Download and Install.

- For AMD users, Go to AMD Drivers and Support page> Select Product type> Series> and specific version and press Submit. Download and install the latest driver from the list.
- For Nvidia users, Go to your GeForce Hotfix Driver Version 526.61> Download and Install.
- Update Windows:
- Go to Settings> Update & Security> Download update.
- After downloading the update, restart your PC and open up the game.
