How To Unlock Skins in Mortal Kombat 1 (MK1)
When you open the menu, there is a “KUSTOMIZE” option where skins are listed under PALETTES. In this option, you will see your unlocked skins and color palettes for them.
The Shrine
This method is mainly a luck-based system. Go to the extra menu and click on “SHRINE”. There, you can use your coins to unlock skins and many gears. Each turn will cost 1000 coins. This is the only place to use coins and get skins. So feel free to spend and get as many skins as possible.
The Store
There are two ways to unlock skins within the store. When you click on the SEASONAL ITEMS, you can buy season-specific skins with seasonal Kredits, which can be earned throughout the game. The skin will now be available in the Palettes section.
Next is the PREMIUM ITEMS section. Here, you can unlock the skins using Dragon Krystals. If you want to obtain Dragon Krystals, you have to spend real cash.
Character Mastery

In this mode, each map contains a sub-boss. Beating these sub-bosses will grant you a season-specific skin as a reward. This mode also offers chests containing skins. The last boss will give you a premium seasonal skin for the character featured in that season.
