Mortal Kombat 1‘s new single-player mode, “Invasion Mode,” has turned out to be a revolutionary addition. MK fans have been scouring through this board game and taking on new challenges and fights. The mode allows players to move freely throughout the realm and steer fights directly. But one type of obstruction in the mode denies you access to some parts of the MESA map. These obstructions are fire gates or locked gates. And no weapon or move can get you past this gate except for one item.
Netherstone is the item you will need to open the Fiery-locked gates. You need to unlock these gates using this rare item to clear out the areas and unlock all the rewards and bonuses. Nether stone in Mortal Kombat 1 (MK1)
Nether stones are incredibly rare in Mortal Kombat 1, and till now, they can only be found through one process. The first thing you will need to do is keep defeating all the invading enemies that are accessible on the Mesa map.
You have to clear out all the map’s open areas one by one until you reach the Fire Temple Mesa, your final destination in the Invasion Mode path. This is where you will face your final boss, Scorpion. You will have to defeat him to get the Nether stone as a reward, alongside some other item rewards.
Defeating Scorpion will be a very tough task and will require your complete dedication and the best combo moves. The fight takes place in three phases, with each phase getting harder. You will have to be persistent with your attacks and very cautious with your defense. Attacks in the last two phases get rampant, so be ready to get defensive more frequently.
After beating Scorpion, you will gain the item and a Scorpion skin. Then, go to the Fiery gates and interact with the stone to unlock them.
