Dataminers have been hard at work and have leaked several characters soon to be released in Marvel Rivals.
Marvel Rivals has 39 iconic Marvel characters for you to play as in tactical 6v6 battles. Each character has different toolsets and abilities, and thus there is a character for every playstyle.
Moreover, each character is completely free to play for every character. As such, you’ll be able to try out each character to find someone that fits your unique playstyle.
However, there is still a host of fan-favorite characters that are yet to be added to Marvel Rivals. And many are already clamoring for their favorites to be added.
Thankfully, dataminers have been hard at work and have leaked several characters that are going to be added to Marvel Rivals.
In this article, we’ve listed every character that is more or less confirmed for Marvel Rivals, and all the information we have on them.
All Leaked Characters
Blade
@RivalsLeaks shared the above character model X, showcasing Blade’s character design for Marvel Rivals.
Though we don’t have much information about his abilities, we assume he’ll be a duelist and the sword on his back will be his primary weapon.
Ultron
@RivalsLeaks has also confirmed that Ultron is coming to the hero shooter and has also found his character art.
They have also discovered that he is a Strategist, as well as the details of his kit which are listed below:
- ENCEPHALO-RAY (Primary Fire): Unleashes a burning energy beam
- DYNAMIC FLIGHT (Secondary Fire): Fly quickly in the direction of movement and then enter a free-flight mode.
- ALGORITHM CORRECTION (Passive): HOLD {Jump} to fall slowly.
- IMPERATIVE: FIREWALL (Ability): Summon drones to grant Bonus Health to allies within range, centered on himself and the ally marked by Imperative: Patch.
- IMPERATIVE: PATCH (Ability): Command a giant drone to follow an ally, constantly healing allies in its radius, with more healing for the designated ally.
- RAGE OF ULTRON (Ultimate): Summon Ultron Drones to fire Encephalo-Rays, damaging enemies or healing allies.
Emma Frost
@FumoLeaks posted on X that Emma Frost of the X-Men (and the Hellfire Club) will be coming to Marvel Rivals.
Though the post has been deleted since then, it showed Emma Frost’s “Diamond Form” being in the game files, which should be one of her abilities.
The leaker also stated her abilities would also include psychic blasts, mind control, and piercing spikes, in addition to her diamond form.
Jean Grey/Phoenix
Another member of the X-men, Jean Grey has also been confirmed by @FumoLeaks in the same post as the one confirming Emma Frost. It showed the ability “Phoenix Ray” being in the game files.
Though there are many a Phoenix Force host in Marvel lore, Jean Grey is undoubtedly the most iconic user of the Phoenix. As such, it’s safe to assume that Jean Grey will be coming to Marvel Rivals.
Mr. Fantastic
Mr. Fantastic is undoubtedly coming to Marvel Rivals and has the most extensive information of any leaked character thanks to dataminers.
@RivalsLeaks has posted everything there is to know about Mr.Fantastic, from his character models to his abilities, including his model while using his ultimate. The details of his kit are listed below:
- Elastic Punch (Primary Fire): Stretch out a forward punch to attack enemies.
- Rubber Grip (Secondary Fire): Extend arms to entangle hit enemies, then press [Primary Fire] to select and yank two more enemies.
- Elastic Strength (Passive): Skills generate Elasticity, boosting attack power. Reaching full Elasticity, triggers an inflated state that restores health and boosts even more damage.
- Flexible Elongation (Ability): Select a target and dash at it, dealing damage to enemies and granting bonus Health to allies.
- Reflexive Rubber (Ability): Stretch body to absorb damage before launching stored damage in the targeted direction.
- Brainiac Bounce (Ultimate): Leap and smash, knocking back enemies within range. Upon hitting an enemy, leap again up to six times.
We can also assume from the defensive and crowd control nature of his abilities that Mr. Fantastic will be a Vanguard.
Human Torch
@RivalsLeaks has also confirmed Johnny Storm aka Human Torch, another member of the Fantastic Four, will be coming to Marvel Rivals, posting his in-game character art. It showcases him with his flames on rocking the same blue and white uniform as Mr. Fantastic.
Johnny will also have a team-up ability with Storm. “Omega Fire” allows Storm consume one of Human Torch’s fire tornadoes into her ultimate to ignite her hurricane and Johnny to turn Storm’s hurricane into a fiery hurricane with his ultimate, which will enlarge the intensity of his fire tornadoes caught in its path.
Invisible Woman and The Thing
@Facio_Leaks discovered some characters who were present in the game’s config files but disabled at launch. Among them were Sue Storm, aka Invisible Woman, and Ben Grimm, a,k,a the Thing, the last two members of the Fantastic Four.
The Thing
Rounding out the Fantastic Four roster and similarly disabled in the game files is Ben Grimm, aka the Thing, who will likely be a tank hero.
It’s unclear when Marvel’s First Family will debut, but it wouldn’t be shocking to see them arrive in time for The Fantastic Four: First Steps‘ release in July 2025, at which point they could join Marvel Rivals‘ large roster of MCU-inspired skins.
Rumored Characters
While the characters above are more or less confirmed to be coming to Marvel Rivals, thanks to the extensive information we have on them, the characters here are not yet confirmed but have a strong possibility to get added, as they are mentioned in various voice lines present in the game’s files. These characters are:
- Captain Marvel
- Hit-Monkey
- Angela
- Deadpool
Moreover, these characters are probably a long time away from releasing.
