The Masque of the Black Rose skins are getting some massive improvements in the upcoming patch.
One of Riot’s biggest changes to League of Legends this year was the introduction of the season theme. Starting in January of this year, each season will have its own theme and will have content based on the theme.
The first theme for 2025 was Noxus, and as per the theme, Riot released the Masque of the Black Rose skin line. It was a brand new Noxus-themed skinline based on LeBlanc’s “Black Rose” organization and had six new skins.
Despite the cool concept, the skinline was not well received by fans. It felt somewhat rushed, the effects weren’t up to par with Riot’s other skins, and the Vladimir skin didn’t even have a unique recall animation. Which is why Riot has decided to revamp the skin line, and the changes are currently in the PBE server for testing.
