It has been almost six months since EDG won Worlds 2021. It’s nearly time for the EDG Worlds skins, and some splash arts are already leaked.
EDG’s run was very entertaining during the last League of Legends World Championship, every series going to silver scrapes. Even in the finals, EDG beat the previous champion DK in a 3-2 Series. Without a live audience, these types of games are what made Worlds 2021 so enjoyable to watch.
Korean teams once dominated Worlds, winning 6 out of 11 World Championships. Finally, Chinese teams won back-to-back Worlds in 2018 and 2019. But then Damwon KIA, another Korean team, won Worlds 2020 in a dominant fashion. Then, when it looked like it was the start of another era of Korean Domination, EDG won it in 2021 for China.
Winning Worlds is the highest honor for any team in League of Legends. Compared to Worlds, nothing else matters. Riot also releases unique skins for World Champions. For example, Riot released DWG Kennen, Nidalee, Twisted Fate, Jhin, and Leona skins last year to commemorate Damwon KIA winning Worlds. This year they will release EDG skins.
EDG Skins Leaked
Worlds EDG skins have emerged on the internet recently. But the full splash art was leaked by the Chinese community.
It is now confirmed that the champion getting EDG skins will be Graves, Viego, Zoe, Aphelios, and Yummi. There is also another full splash art of all the champions shared by BigBadBear.
Leaked Splash Art
The Damwon skins were amazing last year. But from the look of things, this year’s skins will be the best worlds skins so far. The level of detail on the splash art looks excellent.
Release Date
DWG worlds skins came out on April 29, 2021, just before MSI 2021. This year, it should be the same. EDG Worlds skins will be released before or during MSI.
