April Fools 2025 has arrived and here’s everything you need to know.

Riot Games releases new content each year to celebrate various annual events. These events include major holidays such as the Lunar New Year, Christmas, and so on. Additionally, Riot also releases events based on some lesser-known occasions, such as April Fools’ Day.

With April fast approaching Riot has revealed their plan for April Fools’ Day. For the event, Riot is bringing us a brand new game mode. Similar to previous April Fools events, it’s gonna be another fun game mode with the ability to do some wacky things.

Along with the game mode, Riot is also releasing brand new April Fools to the game. A total of five skins are being released for the April Fools event. These include skins for Naafiri, Braum, Malphite, and Urgot, and a Legendary skin for Shaco.

April Fools 2025 Gamemode

As for the game mode, Riot is changing Summoner’s Rift itself for some fun and interesting interactions.

Note: All the changes will only be available in Normal Mode. However, Riot has confirmed that these changes will apply to both Blind Pick and Draft Pick.

New Party Drake

The new Party Drake will be replacing Cloud Drake for the duration of the game mode. Similar to other drakes, It gives various buffs to the players who slay it.

Dragon Slayer Buff

Receive a Party Favor Item in your inventory. If your item slots are full, you’ll get gold instead.
You’ll also gain a disco aura to show off around minions.

Soul

Gain 30% bonus Movement Speed when within 650 range of your allies.
For every 5% bonus MS, gain 1% bonus AD and AP.

Terrain Changes

Disco Pads will appear in the base and Jungle.
A Duckie Disco Ball will spawn in your base.
Stepping on different Disco Pads grants stacks of a Movement Speed buff.
Gain both burst speed that decays over time and constant speed.
Clicking on the Duckie Disco Ball channels an effect, giving you more stacks of the Movement Speed buff.

Shaco’s Mayhem

Cat Shaco Boxes will now randomly spawn in the lane that provides various buffs to the player.

Friendly Shaco Boxes

Picking one up grants a random cute effect (6 in total).
Every 10 stacks earn you a Minor Party Favor Item!

Pengu/ Cat-in-the-Box Shaco dialogue

Expect fun interactions between Pengu Garen and Cat-in-the-Box Shaco!

ARAM Changes

ARAM is also getting some changes during the event.

Cat Shaco Boxes will spawn along the lane.
Summoner Haste increased to 200%.
Cappa Juice now costs 300 gold with no stack limit.
Summoner Snowball gets a new look.

Pengu Garen

Pengu Garen will be selectable during the event and will be available for two weeks.

April Fools 2025

Riot is releasing five brand-new skins for the event. Out of the five asking four will be Epic skins for champions Malphite, Urgot, Naafiri, Braum, and finally a Legendary skin for Shaco.
