How to solve the Sacred Wounds Puzzle in Indiana Jones and the Great Circle.
Indiana Jones is a first-person action-adventure game based on, you guessed it, the Indiana Jones franchise. In it, you take the role of the titular character Indiana Jones to uncover the secret of the Great Circle, fighting baddies and nazis along the way.
However, unlike other games that fill the same niche setting wise, think the Uncharted and Tomb Raider series, Indiana Jones, and the Great Circle is a much more slow paced experience.
It places a large focus on exploration, stealth, and of course, solving puzzles.
There are many puzzles throughout the game, and they will make up a significant part of the Great Circle’s gameplay. Some puzzles are easy while others can be tedious to figure out.
If you want to skip figuring out the puzzles and want to experience the story and punch nazis without hassle, this article is for you.

In this article, we’ve detailed how to solve the Sacred Wounds Puzzle.
Starting the Sacred Wounds Puzzle

Once you solve the mystery of the Strange Inscriptions. Antonio will give you a bottle of sacramental wine. With the wine in hand, you’ll need to head to Pope Nicholas the Fifth’s Tower.
Leave the library and go east towards the Vatican Post Office, the Tower is the round building across the street. Sneak past the Captain patrolling the entrance to enter the Tower.

Once inside. go into the room on the west side of the tower and take a picture of the mural behind the altar.
Then pour some of the wine into the dish and interact with the mural to turn it and open the secret door to the catacombs.

Before heading inside pick up one of the candles from the altar. Then, head down into the catacombs, lighting the torches along the way, until you reach the Sacred Wounds Mural.
Sacred Wounds Puzzle Solution

To start the puzzle, you’ll need to go to the gold dish in front of the Sacred Wounds mural and press the button on the prompt to pour the wine you have with you. This will cause five levers to appear below the Roman numerals I-IV next to the five wounds Christ received during his crucifixion.
To the left and right of this puzzle, there are five more murals and dishes. We’ll be using these to solve the puzzle.

First go to the mural to the right of the puzzle, and pour the wine on the basin. This will reveal a III for the right foot of Christ (the lower right lever).
Anointment of Jesus Mural

To the right of this mural, there will be a room behind a locked gate. Pass through the crack in the wall next to the gate to reach the next mural. Pour the wine in the basin and it will reveal a IV for the left foot of Christ (the lower left lever).
Holy Chalice Mural

Next, to the left of the puzzle, there will be a bust. covering the basin. Move the bust out of the way and pour the wine. This will reveal a II for the left hand of Christ (upper left lever).
Body of Christ Mural

Keep going left and through the gate. When you pass through the gate, it will close behind you. In front you will be another mural. Pour the wine, and a II will be revealed for the right hand of Christ (upper right lever).
Spear of Longinus Statue

From the Body of Christ Mural, go the left to find a torch next to a door. Light the torch using the fire from the mural and head through the door to find the Spear of Longinus Statue. Pour the wine to reveal a III for the body of Christ.

In the same room, look for a candlestick, on the ground, to your left. Pick it up and use it to break down the wall and head back to the main room.
Set Levers

Go back to the Sacred Wounds Mural and set the levers to their corresponding numbers. As we’ve found, these are:
- II for both hands.
- III for the body.
- III for the left leg.
- IV for the right leg.
Once the puzzle is completed, the mural wall will move, revealing a new passage.
