5.1 patch is just a few days away and if you want to plan and save for the upcoming characters in 5.2 & 5.3 then this guide is just for you.
More and more characters are joining the roster of Genshin Impact after the release of Natlan in version 5.0. We are already getting some meta breaking characters in version 5.1 as well. But what about the future? What can we expect from the upcoming characters in 5.2 & 5.3?
Well, that is what I am going to discuss today. Keep in mind that none of these are official claims by Hoyoverse. So, take all of the information with handful of doubts and a grain of salt. That being said, you can expect the drip marketing rolling in soon to confirm the following claims.
Upcoming Characters in 5.2
Mavuika
Arguably, the one character everyone is waiting to release in the Natlan patches is Mavuika. The Pyro Archon Mavuika has been introduced in the version 5.0 Archon quest. Mavuika is coming in the first phase of version 5.3.
Mavuika seems to be a DPS character when she is in C0. Her support capabilities shine when she is in her C2. And according to the leakers, she seems to be the one who will topple the reign of Bennet as the best support in the game.
Latest rumors also claim that her elemental skill will have two variations. A tap version and a hold version. The tap version is said to summon minions much like Furina’s while the hold version provides pyro infusion for Mavuika.
There has already been a popular leak going around claiming she will be able to ride a motorcycle much like the Inferno rider in Wuthering Wave. Her elemental skill should be able to do that.
Kokomi
The last time we got Kokomi’s banner was all the way back in version 3.8. She is a magnificent driver, especially for Dendro Hyperbloom reaction, and a perfect partner to pair up with Nahida if you decide to get her. Her value only went up after the release of Furina, therefore, her demand will be very high among the player base making her the perfect choice for the latter half of 5.2.
Citlali
The second phase of version 5.3 will introduce Citlali. A 5-star Cryo catalyst shielder character who will take on the shielder Sub-DPS role. Some even claim her to be a premium version of Layla.
Wriothesley
The only character who didn’t get any rerun from Fontaine is Wriothesley. And 5.3 looks to be the perfect time for his return. Keep in mind that previously it was suspected that the Neuvillette will rerun in this patch. But considering the fact that he is similar to Archons and Mavuika already in the mix, it is very unlikely that he will be the rerun character here.
Characters Coming in Genshin Impact 5.4
Madame Ping
Completing the Adeptus lineup of Liyue, Madame Ping is next. She will be the first character in version 5.4. She will get a similar introduction to Cloud Retainer. Like her name is Xianyun, not Cloud Retainer. But she will have a younger female model similar to Keqing.
She will be a Hydro DPS unit. Rumors suggest that her Signature Weapon will be extremely useful for Xiao. While there aren’t any confirmed leaks, hey gameplay is said to revolve around the plunge mechanic that Xiao is famous for. This makes her an idea
Shenhe
If anyone is more overlooked by Hoyoverse than Wriothesley it is Shenhe. By 5.3 it will be 30 patches since her last rerun. She desperately needs to join the banners again. This is why 5.4 is the ideal time for her return as Lanya/Madame Ping and her mentor are both adeptus. The focus in this patch will also be on Liyue so fingers crossed!
Neuvillette
Completing the roster for the 5.4 phase 2 is none other than Neuvillette. The Hydro Sovereign is arguably the best DPS in the game and is a great pull if you want a strong Hydro DPS. He is easy to build and can dish out massive damage with a team catered to his mechanics. He will join Citlali in the second phase of version 5.3.
