There are quite a few rumors going around regarding the future of Genshin Impact. Along with confirmation of characters and regions.
Genshin Impact is celebrating its 4 year anniversary with the Lantern Rite event in the next 5.3 patch. With a lot of reveals and sneak peaks in the latest livestream, there are a lot of questions players are asking around.
While we will get more information when the 5.4 beta starts, there are quite a few things that is roaming around the community. And today I will go through all of them and give some personal take on the matter.
Skirk’s (Rumored) Kit
One of the biggest surprise of the version 5.3 livestream was the reveal of Skirk as a playable character at the end of the Natlan patch. She is going to be the next big character for Genshin players. This is a perfect marketing strategy from Hoyoverse as after Mavuika there aren’t any big name joining the natlan patches.
At first I personally thought that Skirk will introduce a new element in the game. Considering how she handled Childe and Narwal, I am pretty sure I wasn’t the only one. She will have Cryo vision and will use a sword as her primary weapon. Also her kit is may use some sort of teleportation technique.
I won’t be surprised if we see her appear in the 5.3 Archon Quest. She and the abyss seem to have a deep connection that Genshin hasn’t explored yet.
Snezhnaya Won’t Fully Come Out in Version 6
According to some leakers, we won’t get the full area of Snezhnaya available in the version 6 of Genshin Impact. The complete area will be introduced in version 7 and 8 will have the Khanriah patch. So, version 6 might be the only version where we won’t get a new archon. But this is just a rumor so don’t rely to heavily on this.
No Fatui in Natlan, Columbina Coming in Genshin Impact Version 6
There will be no playable Fatui in version 5 much similar to how we didn’t get any in the Inazuma patches. Capitano might fall or become someone like Dainslief. While his sticker in game did give me hope but I guess that is not the case.
The fatui we will be able to obtain next is Columbina. She is no.3 in the Harbinger list and considered to be one of the strongest mortals in Teyvat. According to the lore is a necromancer and her element is still unknown. But I am assured that she will be quite strong. She will take on the role of DPS like all the other Harbingers we’ve got as playable.
