Genshin Impact has once again started releasing Developer Discussions.
Genshin Impact’s 1st year anniversary was about a week ago. A lot of the Genshin Impact players were disappointed with the lack of Anniversary Rewards. One other thing a lot of players have been asking for a while is communication. Before Genshin Impact v1.6, Mihoyo used to release developer discussions. They stopped doing that for the last 6 months which made a lot of players think that Mihoyo is not listening to the community anymore.
But recently Mihoyo released a new Developer Discussion on 10th October 2021. The developer discussion talked about a lot of upcoming changes and below you can find everything it discussed.

Genshin Impact Developers Discussion 10/06:
Gadgets from Previous Events:
New players are joining Genshin Impact every day and some of them missed out on gadgets that were in previous events. In Genshin Impact v2.2 gadgets from previous events will be available for purchase with Mora. Travelers can get the following gadgets if they missed out-
- Windblume Festival Commemorative Balloon
- Windsong Lyre
- Wind-Blessed Harpastum
“Question: Is there any way to obtain gadgets from events that I’ve missed? I regret missing out.
Answer: For Travelers who have missed out, don’t worry. In Version 2.2, Travelers can use Mora to purchase the Windblume Festival Commemorative Balloon, Windsong Lyre, and Wind-Blessed Harpastum gadgets from Marjorie’s store in Mondstadt~”
Shied Effects OVerlapping Crosshair Fix:
For a lot of Mobile Genshin Impact players, Zhongli’s shield blocks the crosshair making it difficult to aim. The opacity of some effects will be tweaked to resolve this issue.
“Question: Zhongli’s shield would sometimes overlap with Ganyu’s crosshair, making it difficult for mobile users to aim.
Answer: In Version 2.2, we have also worked to optimize this. We will reduce the opacity of some effects that will obstruct the crosshair when bow characters switch to Aiming Mode.”
Getting all the options in Hangout events is currently very tedious. Every time players have to start from the beginning to reach different endings. In v2.2 previously selected options in Hangouts will save and you can start from that point later.
“Question: Can the previously chosen options be saved in Hangout Events? It’s a bit tedious when I’m trying to get all the different endings.
Answer: This optimization will be implemented in Version 2.2!(*’U`*) Starting from Version 2.2, when the same device is used for a Hangout Event, the previously selected options will be saved.”
PS5 Controllers Working on PC:
Starting from Genshin Impact v2.2 PC players can use their PS5 controllers and enjoy the immersive Haptic Feedback and dynamic Adaptive Trigger function.
“Question: Controllers for PS5 don’t work very well on PC. When will support be added?
Answer: In Version 2.2, PCs will now support DualSense™ (PlayStation5) Wireless Controllers~ Travelers can experience the immersive Haptic Feedback and dynamic Adaptive Trigger function of the DualSense™ Wireless Controller.”
Transport Commission Movement Increase:
Currently, the Inazuma Transport Goods Commissions take far too long as the balloon moves slowly. The movement speed of the Baloon will be increased in v2.2.
“Question: Inazuma’s transport commissions take too long.
Answer: In Version 2.2, we will increase the HP and movement speed of the transported goods, so that Travelers will be able to complete the quests faster.”
Raiden Elemental Skill Visual Change:
According to some players, Raiden’s Elemental Skill is too bright. In Genshin v2.2 the brightness of this skill will be tweaked.
“Question: Raiden Shogun’s Elemental Skill, Chakra Desiderata is too bright if you look at it for too long.
Answer: In comparison to Version 2.1, in Version 2.2 we optimized Raiden Shogun’s Chakra Desiderata by reducing its brightness in various lighting environments.”
Photo Frames in Serenita Pot:
Genshin Impact developers are currently developing a Photo Frame furnishing for the Serenitea Pot. This will come to the game in a future update.
“Question: Is it possible to add photos as wall furnishings for the Serenitea Pot?
Answer: “Photo Frame” Furnishings are currently under development. In future Versions, there will be new interior furnishings that can display the Hangout Memories of Hangout Events. Travelers can select Hangout Memories according to their preferences to display in their realms~
In addition, the developers have already taken note of the request for “furnishings that play music” and recorded it in the feedback collection~”
Optimized Display of Enemy Information of the Spiral Abyss:
Genshin Impact currently does not allow travelers to view the enemies for the upcoming Spiral Abyss floor. Travelers need to close the Spiral Abyss and enter again to view the enemies. The development team is working on optimizing how enemies are displayed. In the future, we will be able to view enemy information before starting each floor.
“Question: Could we see the lineup of enemies when we are forming our party in the Spiral Abyss? It is very difficult to remember the enemy lineup when forming my party.
Answer: The development team has noted this~ The development team will optimize the display of enemy information of the Spiral Abyss in subsequent versions. When the Spiral Abyss is changing floors, you can view the enemy information.”
Default Party Restore:
Some changes are also coming to Party setup when exiting Co-op mode. Sometimes going from co-op to single-player puts random characters in the party. This issue will be fixed and also a new party priority feature is also coming.
“Question: Is it possible to restore my default team after exiting Co-Op Mode? I have to do it manually every time.
Answer: The development team is working on it. In a future Version, when Travelers switch from Co-Op Mode back to Single Player Mode, their default party will be restored.
Additionally, in future Versions, when a teammate leaves the party in Co-Op Mode, said teammate’s character will be replaced by a character from the default party before entering Co-Op Mode. For example: before entering Co-Op Mode, Travelers had Characters A, B, C and D on their party. In Co-Op Mode, four friends come together to play. The Traveler becomes the host and controls Character A. If one of the teammates in the group leaves, Character B will then take the vacancy in the team.”
Single Player Pause Cooldown Bug Fix:
“In Version 2.2, we are also fixing an issue in Single Player Mode whereby the duration and cooldown of opponents’ skills would not stop after the game was paused.
After the fix, some enemies will no longer be able to switch to another skill as quickly when Travelers pause the game. For example, when facing the Primo Geovishap, it will no longer be able to use the time the game is paused to execute its “Primordial Shower” skill multiple times in a short amount of time. Another example would be when facing Maguu Kenki and Childe. In this case, enemies will not be able to take advantage of the pause to use skills that deal high amounts of damage.
Similarly, after the update, some enemies with different attack phases will not be able to change phases quickly just because the skill duration cannot be paused. For example, before the update, when facing the Oceanid, if Travelers paused the game, this pause did not affect the Oceanid’s skill, so when the game was resumed, the Oceanid could enter into the next phase of attack quickly. After the fix, similar issues will no longer occur.”
