This guide will show you the Chest Spawn locations of the newly released Golden Apple Archipelago in Genshin Impact 2.8.
Genshin Impact 2.8 Update brought back the Golden Apple Archipelago once more. If you played the previous Golden Apple Archipelago, you probably collected the chests at that time. But, HoYoverse introduced all-new chest spawns with this version of the Golden Apple Archipelago.
Chests are an excellent way for players to get in-game loot and small amounts of Promogems. Each Genshin Impact chest offers a small amount of Primogems, depending on the rarity. The Primogem reward of each chest is given below.

So, even if veteran Genshin players don’t need the in-game rewards, the Primogems are what will draw most people towards finding all the chests in the Golden Apple Archipelago. Because even small amounts of Primogems quickly add up and can enable players to use wishes. And with each wish being vital, the Golden Apple Archipelago chests will surely help.
Golden Apple Archipelago Chest Spawn Locations:
The first order of business is to unlock the Golden Apple Archipelago. This can be done by completing the “Summertime Odyssey” Quest 1 from the Events Overview Tab in-game. Players will need to be at least Adventure Rank 32 and complete a couple of prerequisite quests to even attempt the “Summertime Odyssey” Quest 1. Then you will be on your way to the Golden Apple Archipelago Islands.
Each of these marked chests in the Golden Apple Archipelago will have some enemies or puzzles associated with them. You will need to complete the puzzles or eliminate the enemies in the vicinity to unlock these chests.
In the chest spawn location image above, the Black ones are common chests, and the Green ones are Exquisite Chests. There are also Bolaty Floaties, Time Trials, and Mini Puzzles that offer Chests. More chest spawns are supposed to arrive after a few days, but at the moment, these are all the chests in the Golden Apple Archipelago.
