These updates need to be tested before officially releasing to the public. As part of this, HoYoverse hosts Beta Tests and takes help from the playerbase to test out the bugs and balancing issues.

Genshin Impact 2.8 Beta Test:

The official Genshin Impact Discord server recently announced the start of the upcoming 2.8 Beta Test.

Application Start and End Dates:

The application for the 2.8 Beta Test started on Tuesday, April 15, 2022, 8:AM and will be open until Friday, April 15, 2022, 8:00 AM.

Requirements:

There are some requirements a Genshin player must meet before being eligible for the beta test application. These are-

1. You must be a member of the Genshin Impact Official Discord Server.
2. Be over the age of 18
3. Must have valid and unexpired ID proof. It can be either a Passport or a Driver’s License etc.

How to Apply:

If you meet the requirements listed above, you can apply for the Genshin Impact 2.8 Beta Test. Interested players will need to fill out the Official Google Form and provide the following information:

• Discord Tag
• Discord ID
• Account UID
• HoYolab ID
• Adventure Rank Level
• Floor 12 Spiral Abyss 2.6 completed?
• Platform of choice
• Region
• Email Address
• Country
• Full Legal Name

The Genshin beta test is currently only available for PC and Mobile players. The applicants go through a strict screening process. Selected individuals are later contacted through Discord or email address.
