The story of how an Elden Ring player became an internet legend after soloing Malenia, one of the most challenging bosses in the game.
Elden Ring, the newest action role-playing game developed by FromSoftware, became one of the most popular games of this year. The combat and exploration are similar to Souls series, Bloodborne, and Sekiro: Shadows Die Twice games previously released by FromSoftware. Elden Ring is full of brutal boss fights, and there are more than eighty bosses currently in-game, Malenia, Blade of Miquella being one of them.
Malenia, Blade of Miquella is arguably the most challenging boss in Elden Ring and might be one of the most difficult bosses to fight in any Souls game. Malenia is very difficult because of her lifesteal mechanics and has lots of combo attacks that, if connected, can heal almost half of her health. While most of her attacks and parryable, she is still difficult to fight. Even then, seasoned Souls players had a hard time dealing with Miquella.
But for the past week, one Elden Ring player quickly became a legend on the internet for fighting Malenia with no armour and a Jar on his head. A player named KleinTsuboiOW on Reddit, known in the Elden Ring community as Let Me Solo Her, left his summon sign right outside the Malenia boss door, helping anyone that needs it.

Here is the story of Let Me Solo Her and how he blew up to widespread popularity in the Elden Ring community.
Origin
In Elden Ring, players can bring other players into their game world to help them beat the bosses in the game. You can team up with your friends or other players to take down dungeon bosses.
Last week, a Reddit user named Sazed813 took to the Elden Ring subreddit to post about his experience with a summon by the name of ‘Let Me Solo Her’ on PC.
Sazed813 had been beaten by Malenia, Blade of Miquella, over 20 times. As a result, he decided to call in some help, and ‘Let Me Solo Her’ was the one who answered.
According to the post, the player came in wielding two katanas and wearing a jar on his head with no armour. True to his name, the player went to work and solo-ed Malenia. Sazed813 merely sat back and watched as ‘Let Me Solo Her’ didn’t take any damage, dodging every single one of Malenia’s flower attacks and flawlessly putting Malenia down.
Later this was then confirmed by a Reddit post from user KleinTsuboiOW, who appears to be ‘Let Me Solo Her’ on the same subreddit. He uploaded a video of him solo fighting Malenia on his YouTube channel, which got almost 2 Million views.
After becoming popular, the ‘Let Me Solo Her’ player has become a celebrity in the Elden Ring community, with fan arts released in his honour. He took to Reddit to answer some common questions about his Elden Ring experience in a viral post that has amassed over 68,000 upvotes.
A Reddit user named etherealSTEVE even made a sculpture of ‘Let Me Solo Her’ using a 3D printer.
Let Me Solo Her is a big fan of FromSoftware games and took on the Samurai class in Elden Ring. Unfortunately, he wasn’t born with the gift of defeating Malenia, Blade of Miquella. However, it took ‘Let Me Solo Her’ 242 tries to defeat Malenia finally. He expressed that he loves the mechanics of Malenia and has also asked for the help of other players. Eventually, he decided to help others defeat Malenia while playing his new characters with the iconic dual-wielded Katanas.
Klein Tsuboi helped approximately 300+ players defeat Malenia and confirmed that he would continue to be available for any players who need help.
After widespread popularity, Garden of Eyes, a modder and YouTuber who creates content around Souls games, created a mod where you can spirit summon Let Me Solo Her. The mod replaces the Lone Wolf ashes, an early-game item you can use to summon a trio of spectral wolves to your side. The mod is available from Garden of Eyes’ Patreon for £4 per month.

Let Me Solo Her Build
Klein Tsuboi explained the build that he used to fight Malenia. In their right hand, he uses the Uchigatana+25 with Hoarfrost Stomp Cold, and then in the left hand; he uses Rivers of Blood+9. The player character is also butt naked except for the jar he wears on the head, but what players wear with the build is optional. Klein is currently at level 179 with no plans on levelling further.
Since this post, Klein has been helping out many players in Elden Ring, fighting the boss and in the community. He also promises to help as many as possible and does not mind players who try to help him.
Elden Ring is available for PC, PS4, PS5, Xbox One, and Xbox Series X/S.
