Fortnite may be getting one of its biggest gaming crossovers yet, as a new leak claims that an Overwatch collaboration is on the way. According to reliable Fortnite leaker HYPEX, the crossover is expected to arrive โ€œsoon,โ€ likely next month, and will reportedly include skins for Genji, Mercy, Tracer, and D.Va, all based on their Overwatch 2 designs. The leak also mentions a Porsche Macan SUV vehicle cosmetic item with four Overwatch-themed decals.

Fortnite x Overwatch Collaboration Reportedly Coming Soon

Fortnite is no stranger to massive collaborations, but an Overwatch crossover would still be a pretty big deal. Epic Games has already brought in characters from franchises like Marvel, Star Wars, Dragon Ball, Naruto, Street Fighter, and countless other gaming and entertainment properties. Now, if the latest leaks are accurate, Blizzardโ€™s hero shooter could be next in line.

The reported crossover is said to be coming soon, with the current expectation being sometime next month. However, Epic Games and Blizzard have not officially announced the collaboration yet, so players should treat the timing as leaked information for now rather than a confirmed release date.

Genji, Mercy, Tracer, and D.Va Skins Reportedly Included

The leaked Fortnite x Overwatch lineup includes four of the most recognizable Overwatch heroes: Genji, Mercy, Tracer, and D.Va. That makes a lot of sense for a first wave, since all four are among the most iconic faces of the franchise.

Tracer is basically Overwatchโ€™s poster hero, Genji has always been one of the most popular damage heroes, Mercy remains one of the most recognizable support characters in gaming, and D.Va has a massive fanbase of her own. If Fortnite really is starting with these four, Epic is clearly going for the safest and most marketable picks first.

Skins Will Reportedly Be Based on Overwatch 2 Designs

According to the leak, the skins will be based on the charactersโ€™ Overwatch 2 looks rather than their original Overwatch 1 designs. That detail will probably be a talking point in the community, since many longtime fans still prefer the classic designs for some heroes.

Still, Overwatch 2 designs fit better with the current version of Blizzardโ€™s franchise. Genjiโ€™s updated look, Mercyโ€™s newer outfit, Tracerโ€™s modernized gear, and D.Vaโ€™s Overwatch 2 style would all translate pretty naturally into Fortniteโ€™s visual style.

Porsche Macan SUV and Overwatch Decals Also Leaked

The crossover reportedly goes beyond character skins. The leak also mentions a Porsche Macan SUV coming with four decals, seemingly themed around Genji, Mercy, Tracer, and D.Va. SamLeakss also reported that an Overwatch crossover is coming to Rocket League, with the Porsche Macan SUV and decals tied to the same set of heroes.

This part of the leak is especially interesting because Overwatch and Porsche already have an official history together. In 2024, Porsche and Blizzard launched an Overwatch 2 collaboration that included Porsche-inspired skins for D.Va and Pharah, with D.Vaโ€™s design inspired by the all-electric Macan. Porsche also stated that the collaboration was built around bringing Porsche design elements into Overwatch 2โ€™s world.

Fortnite Keeps Expanding Its Gaming Crossover Lineup

If the leak is accurate, Overwatch would join Fortniteโ€™s already stacked list of gaming collaborations. Epic has turned Fortnite into more than just a battle royale over the years. It is now a massive crossover platform where game characters, anime icons, movie heroes, musicians, streamers, and real-world brands can all appear in the same item shop.

The heroes are colorful, instantly recognizable, and already designed around strong silhouettes. Genjiโ€™s cyber ninja look, Mercyโ€™s wings, Tracerโ€™s chronal accelerator, and D.Vaโ€™s gamer-pilot identity all feel like easy fits for Fortnite skins.

When could the Fortnite x Overwatch Skins Release?

Right now, the leaked release window is โ€œsoon,โ€ likely next month. Since there has been no official confirmation from Epic Games or Blizzard yet, players should wait for either an in-game announcement, item shop update, or official social post before treating the date as locked.

The rumored Fortnite x Overwatch crossover sounds like exactly the kind of collaboration that would dominate the item shop. Genji, Mercy, Tracer, and D.Va are strong choices for a first wave, and the Porsche Macan SUV adds an unexpected but interesting extra layer to the crossover.
