Fortnite’s Item Shop may be getting a more personal touch in the future. According to well-known Fortnite leaker HYPEX, Epic Games is currently working on a new “For You” shop section that is codenamed “Boutique.” The feature also appears to include some kind of rating system for offers, with possible feedback labels such as Negative, Neutral, Positive, and Strong Positive.

Epic Games has not officially announced this feature yet, so it should be treated as a leak for now. Still, if it makes it into the live game, this could be one of the more interesting Item Shop changes Fortnite has seen in a while.

Fortnite “For You” Shop Section Explained

Based on the leak, Fortnite’s upcoming “For You” section sounds like a personalized area inside the Item Shop. Instead of only showing the same featured cosmetics to everyone, this section could potentially recommend skins, bundles, emotes, or other offers based on what a player might be interested in.

The codename “Boutique” also fits the idea of a curated shop page. Fortnite already has a huge number of cosmetics, and the Item Shop can feel crowded whenever multiple collaborations, original skins, bundles, LEGO items, Festival content, and Rocket Racing cosmetics are all rotating at once. A “For You” section could help narrow that down by surfacing items that feel more relevant to each player.

Right now, the exact details are unclear. HYPEX’s post only mentions that the feature is in development and that it likely has an offer rating system. That means we do not know whether the recommendations would be based on past purchases, favorite cosmetics, owned skins, browsing behavior, wishlist activity, or something else.

Fortnite “Boutique” Codename Could Point to a More Personalized Store

The codename “Boutique” is interesting because it suggests something more curated than a normal store tab. In real life, a boutique usually means a smaller, more selective shop experience. If Epic is using that name internally, it may point toward a cleaner recommendation system that highlights fewer items but makes them feel more targeted.

That could be useful for Fortnite, especially because the game’s cosmetic ecosystem is much bigger now than it used to be. The Item Shop is no longer just about Battle Royale outfits and emotes. Epic’s official Fortnite Item Shop page currently lists in-game cosmetics and special offers, while also directing players to check the in-game shop for full item inspection.

Fortnite also supports a web Item Shop, meaning players can browse and buy some cosmetics through a browser as well as inside the game. Epic’s support page confirms that players can access the Fortnite Item Shop directly from a browser, while gifting still needs to be done through the in-game Item Shop.

With all of that in mind, a “For You” page would make sense as Fortnite continues to expand its shop experience across different platforms.

This Could Also Raise Questions From Players

While the idea sounds useful, a personalized shop could also create some discussion in the Fortnite community. Players may want to know how recommendations are chosen, whether everyone gets access to the same deals, and whether the system affects visibility for certain skins or bundles.

Fortnite’s Item Shop has already been under scrutiny in the past. In 2024, Polygon reported on a proposed class action lawsuit over Item Shop countdown timers, while Epic denied the allegations and said it had made changes to the shop, including removing the countdown timer and adding protective measures against unwanted purchases.

Because of that, transparency will matter if Epic eventually rolls out a more personalized shopping experience. Players will likely want clear information on how the “For You” section works and whether it changes pricing, availability, or just the order in which offers are shown.

Fortnite “For You” Shop Release Date

There is currently no official release date for Fortnite’s “For You” shop section. HYPEX only says that Fortnite is working on the feature, which means it may still be in testing or internal development.

As always with leaks, there is a chance the feature could change before release or never launch publicly at all. Fortnite has had many datamined features appear early, only for some of them to arrive much later in a different form.

If Epic does move forward with the “Boutique” section, it could appear in a future Fortnite update as part of a broader Item Shop refresh.

Fortnite’s Item Shop Keeps Evolving

The leaked “For You” section fits into a larger pattern of Epic expanding how players interact with Fortnite cosmetics. In 2025, Epic announced that Fortnite developers would soon be able to sell items directly from their Fortnite islands, adding another layer to the game’s growing in-game economy.

Epic has also continued improving the purchasing experience. The Verge reported in 2025 that Fortnite was adding an “Exact Amount” V-Bucks option, letting players buy only the extra V-Bucks needed for a purchase instead of being forced into larger preset bundles.

A personalized “For You” section would fit that same direction. Fortnite is not just adding more cosmetics. It is also changing how players find, buy, and interact with them.
