With the version livestream program finished, we now have an idea of every new character coming in Genshin Impact from 5.4 to 5.7.
Genshin Impact is a gacha focused open world RPG that had taken the world by storm upon its initial release. Now in their 4th year celebration on the way, it doesn’t seem to stop as new players are joining the game in every patch. The Natlan region has been a rollercoaster ride of new characters and mechanics and it seems there’s more to come.
I have already shared my insights on version 5.3 which have been confirmed by Hoyoverse as Mavuika and Citlali is coming for the first phase and Arlecchino and Clorinde on the second phase.
We are also getting a Liyue Chronicled Wish banner which is also accurate except for addition of Shenhe. Considering Hoyoverse themselves broke their set rules, there’s nothing to say about that.
But the most exciting leaks that came after the showcase is all the new 7 characters we are getting. Hoyoverse themselves leaked (or teased) every new character in Genshin Impact from 5.4 to 5.7. Let’s get down to the details, shall we?
New Characters in Genshin Impact 5.4
Mizuki Ayano
Most of the leakers have already confirmed that we will be getting a new 5-star character from Inazuma. Thee rumors suggest her name to be Mizuki Ayano. This can be a place holder name and can be changed though. While there isn’t any confirmation regarding her element yet, Electro or Anemo seems to be the most viable guess.
It is also speculated that she will join the standard banner pull. This will finally fill the spot of an Inazuman character in the standard banner. But this makes me doubtful of her kit. Because if the past characters (especially Dehya) are a sign, then her kit might be underwhelming.
Iansan
The hero name holder from the Collective of Plenty has been teased from the region reveal trailer all the way back in version 1. While she holds a very strong presence in the Natlan story, she hasn’t been introduced yet and it seems she will come in 5.4.
The game already revealed that she will be an electro vision user. The preferred weapon of Iansan is going to be a polearm. But there have been much debate regarding her rarity. Many leakers claim she will be a 4 Star while others say 5 star.
I personally think she will be a 5 star. That being said Ningguan was introduced in the same trailer and she is a 4 star. But if I quote Mavuika, Iansan is the strongest warrior in Natlan after Mavuika. So, if the 2nd strongest in Natlan isn’t a 5 star then that’d be a let down.
There will be more information regarding this matter once the version 5.4 close beta leaks starts to come out.
New Characters in Genshin Impact 5.5
Ifa
A 4 star that has been confirmed to join the roster in version 5.5 is Ifa. This will be last male character in the region for the time being. Ifa is rumored to be quite a joyous and impactful figure. He will have an unique pet companion much like Ajax.
Varesa
There had been rumors of a cow girl coming in Genshin Impact for a long time. She will be a 5 star electro character. This is going to be quite an interesting character as the only other character with horns we’d got was Ganyu. And we all remember how meta breaking Ganyu was back in the day.
New Characters in Genshin Impact 5.6
Dahlia
It has been too long since we have got any characters from Mondstadt. He is the Deacon of the Church of Favonious and has been mentioned from time to time by Rosaria and others. While there has been no kit leaks yet, many claims that he will be a support character focused on buffing the team.
Chef from Fontaine
Me along with the rest of the Genshin community have little to no information regarding this character except for the silhouette introduced in the livestream. But if the previous chef (Xiangling) we have got from Genshin is any indication then it is safe to say that she is going to be an extremely strong character.
New Characters in Genshin Impact 5.7
Skirk
It had been quite a debate on whether we will have playable Skirk or not. After her introduction in the final ACT of the Fontaine Archon quest, fans have been eagerly waiting for her arrival. Her kit will be unique to say the least and I assume she will have a different element than the usual 7.
The weapon she might use is up for debate but most leakers claiming she will be a sword user. But keep in mind that she taught Childe who can use any type of weapon out there. So, the master might have some similarities with the student.
That’s it. These are all the character coming in Genshin Impact from version 5.4 to 5.7. Everey region introduces 16 new characters. If I count the ones till 5.3 there will be 9 neew characters introduced. Therefore, these 7 makes it 16 marking the end of characters coming in the 5. patch of Genshin Impact.
