Fortnite Vbucks price has been lowered for the first time since the game’s launch.
As we all know Vbucks is the currency Fortnite players use to buy items from the item shop. Each VB was equivalent to almost a dollar. Previously if you wanted to buy 1k Vbucks you would have to pay $9.99 but that price is about to change.

Epic games Lower Vbucks price
In a blog post just now Epic Games has announced that there will be a 20% discount to all prices of Vbucks and real money offers. This is the first time since the launch of the game we saw a permanent price reduction from Epic. Epic Games is calling the price reduction ‘The Fortnite Mega Drop’. This price reduction is not a special timed discount or anything. This will be the new price of Vbucks from now on.
They tweeted about the price reduction on their official twitter page.

Players Who Bought Vbucks or real-money offers in the last 30 days will get bonus Vbucks
Players who bought Vbucks or real money-offers in the last 30 days will also be eligible for the bonus of 20% Vbucks as part of the Fortnite Mega Drop. They will get 20% of the total purchase amount during that time.
Epic said this on their official blog site, “Players that purchased V-Bucks or purchased a real-money offer like Summer Legends in the last 30 days (July 14, 2020 – August 13, 2020) will be granted a V-Bucks bonus by August 17! The V-Bucks bonus will be 20% of the total purchase amount during that time frame.”
A New Way To Pay On Mobile
Epic Games has announced a new to pay on mobile devices. Now you can pay through Apple store or Google play store or you can use Direct pay and get 20% discount.
Here is the new discounted price for 1000 V-Bucks if you decide to use DIrect pay. If you use Google Play or App Store you will still need to pay the previous price. This is because of the 30% cut, Google and Apple take.

Although the price of Vbucks has been lowered Content creators will still get the same amount of money from people using their code.
Free Shooting Starstaff Pickaxe for All Active Players
Players who log in to the game right now will get the Shooting Starstaff pickaxe for free. This is part of the Mega Drop promotion. On their official blog site, Epic said, “To celebrate the Fortnite Mega Drop, we’re gifting all active players the Shooting Starstaff Pickaxe for FREE. Enjoy and thank you for being a part of the community!”
