Embark Studios is developing its own in-house anti-cheat technology called Elytra, with early testing currently underway in THE FINALS. The system is being tested with a limited group before Embark begins expanding its availability, and its development could eventually have implications for ARC Raiders as well.

Elytra officially appeared as part of THE FINALS Update 11.3.0. According to Embark, the new anti-cheat solution is currently being tested with a small selection of players alongside technology partners including Microsoft and NVIDIA GeForce NOW.
Elytra may already be installed and running in the background if you are currently playing The Finals. However, Embark says it is not currently enforcing anti-cheat protections for most users. The studio is using this phase to evaluate compatibility, stability, and performance across different hardware configurations and platforms.
Embark plans to gradually expand Elytra testing after resolving issues discovered during the current phase. The developer is targeting THE FINALS Update 11.6 for the start of wider availability, although that timeline could change depending on testing results.
Could Elytra Anti-Cheat Come to ARC Raiders?
While Embark has not announced Elytra for ARC Raiders, bringing the technology to its extraction shooter would make sense if testing proves successful.
Anti-cheat is already a major focus for ARC Raiders. Embark previously confirmed that its protection systems include Easy Anti-Cheat at the kernel level alongside machine learning detection and additional undisclosed security layers. The studio also revealed in May that it was testing another kernel-level solution designed to improve detection and precision.
As of writing, there is no official confirmation that Elytra will be added to ARC Raiders. Still, considering Embark describes anti-cheat development as a studio-wide effort covering its games, Elytra could eventually become another part of ARC Raiders’ fight against cheaters if its THE FINALS testing delivers the results the studio wants.
