Dragon’s Dogma 2 is finally receiving the major console performance upgrade players have been waiting for. Capcom has confirmed that Title Update 3.2 will tune Performance Mode to run at 60 FPS on PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X when it arrives in late August 2026.

In brief

  • Performance Mode is being tuned to run at 60 FPS on PS5 and Xbox Series X
  • Capcom worked on the performance improvements for more than six months
  • Title Update 3.2 is scheduled for late August 2026
  • A dedicated Hard Mode is also in development, but its release date remains unconfirmed

Producer Naoto Oyama explained that the development team has spent more than half a year working on performance optimizations. These improvements combine updates to Capcom’s RE Engine with numerous smaller adjustments made throughout the game.

The result is a revised Performance Mode tuned to reach 60 FPS on PS5 and Xbox Series X. This could make exploration and combat feel considerably smoother, especially during large battles involving multiple enemies, Pawns, and environmental effects.

Capcom has not yet revealed the expected resolution or whether the frame rate will remain locked at 60 FPS in every situation. More technical details should arrive closer to the update’s release.

The late August update will also introduce several substantial gameplay and quality-of-life changes. These include expanding the number of save slots from one to three, increasing assignable weapon skills from four to six, improving Pawn behavior, adjusting vocations, and updating the game’s combat systems.

Capcom also plans to revise the minimum and recommended PC system requirements following its optimization work. Full details about the new requirements have not been announced.

Capcom has separately confirmed that it is developing a Hard Mode aimed at experienced players whose characters are approaching or have reached the level cap. However, the studio has not confirmed that Hard Mode will launch alongside Title Update 3.2.

More information about the mode and its release window will be shared later. As of writing, the upcoming 60 FPS Performance Mode should still represent one of the most important technical upgrades Dragon’s Dogma 2 has received since launch.
