As of writing, the game includes main story puzzles, side quest puzzle sequences, strongbox locks, and a large set of Ancient Ruins challenges spread across Pywel. One of the biggest confirmed counts right now is 37 Ancient Ruins puzzles, with four maze-style challenges included in that total.
There is one important caveat before we dive in. Game8โs master puzzle index is one of the most up-to-date broad references, but it also notes that some entries are still being expanded. So the safest way to frame this is as an all-known puzzle guide based on the latest documented solutions available as of April 1, 2026, rather than pretending every page is equally complete.
What counts as a puzzle in Crimson Desert?
Right now, the documented puzzle content in Crimson Desert falls into four main groups. The first is the main story puzzles, which are usually tied to Axiom Force, Force Palm, Blinding Flash, rotating rings, power flow, and bridge activation. The second is side quest puzzles, which include faction quest interactions and most of the Ancient Ruins content.
The third is strongbox puzzles, which are basically mini safes that use buttons, keys, melody matching, or rotating wheels. The fourth is a smaller โother puzzlesโ category, including quest-specific set pieces like Dragonโs Stone Chamber and Hidden Ruins of the Quarry.
