How to solve every Safehouse Puzzle in Call of Duty Black Ops 6’s Campaign.

Early in the campaign mode of Call of Duty Black Ops 6, you’ll be taken to the Rook, the ex-KGB safehouse that your new team of operators is based out of.

This safehouse will serve as the hub for Black Ops 6’s campaign and allows you to buy perks, upgrades, and customize your weapon. It also serves as the location for several side missions where you can see short cutscenes and conversations between characters.

It serves as an extension of the new direction that Black Ops 6 takes with its campaign, offering more replayability and non-linear gameplay in contrast to previous Call of Duty campaigns.

The safehouse can also be explored thoroughly and you’ll soon come across interactable items and locked rooms, each serving as puzzles that you’ll need to solve to unlock a safe in a second-floor bedroom.

In this article, we take a look at each puzzle in the safehouse, how you can solve them, so that you can unlock the safe get some rewards for your troubles.

All Safehouse Puzzles

Boiler Room Generator

You’ll need to fix the Boiler Room Generator to explore the secret of the Safehouse.

On the first floor, from the central room where the clue board is, enter the hallway to the right and go through the first door on the right to reach the basement. Go through the basement into the boiler room.

Inside the Boiler Room, perform the following steps:

  • Turn the Boiler valve (middle valve) twice
  • Turn the Fuel valve (left valve) once
  • Press the Pilot button (right button) once. A green light should turn on.
  • Turn the Boiler valve twice. The machine will start making noise and the green button will start blinking.

Piano Puzzle

Next, from the central room, head to left to find a Piano and pick up the Blacklight. Interact with the Piano and press the following keys in order:

  1. Mn
  2. Pe
  3. Cn
  4. Ao
  5. Pe

This will open the door to the secret area, to the right of the piano.

Keypad Code

Go through the door to the secret area down to the basement and look for a locked door. It will be on the first path to the right.

Interact with the keypad to unlock the Mainframe Room. However, this code is randomized and will be different each time you attempt to unlock it. Here are some steps to help you solve this puzzle:

  • Use the Blacklight to see which buttons have thick fingerprint marks (i.e the most presses) these buttons have to be part of the code. Buttons with less presses may or may not be part of the code.
  • Press a button and it will show up in the decryption log. If it shows up with a green checkmark it is in the code and is in the correct order. If it has a yellow arrow, it is in the code but is in the wrong position. If it shows up with a red cross, it is not part of the code.
  • Each number can appear more than so go through some trial and error and use the process of elimination to find the correct code.

For example: If you enter 5-5-5-5-5 to see in which order the digit 5 is correct, then repeat the same for 2 other numbers. This will get you at least 3 of 5 digits in the correct order.

Mainframe Room Terminal

Once inside the Mainframe Room, interact with the computer terminal at the end of the room to start a hacking puzzle. In this puzzle, you’ll have to match the numbers to their letters using the cipher at the bottom of the screen. You’ll have to insert 4 passwords, which are the words listed below:

  • HOLDING
  • ROOM
  • OPEN
  • BUNKER

These words will always be the same but will be in a random order in each playthrough. All you have to do is match the length of the Code Word.

Interrogation Room Lockpick

Exit the Mainframe Room and go to the end of the Basement to find the now unlocked Interrogation Room, the door should be slightly open.

Inside this room, is another locked door, which leads to the torture chamber, that you’ll need to unlock. Interact with the door and it will start a lockpicking minigame.

Tilt the right stick (or your mouse if you’re on PC) until you see the pin going into the door. The lockpick will glow if you hit the sweet spot. Repeat for all three pins to unlock the door.

Once inside the torture chamber, pick up the Key on one of the tables.

Radio Puzzle

After taking the Key, go to the basement corridor opposite to the keypad puzzle, and look for a room where a Signal Detected popup appears. Use the key to open the door and interact with the Radio inside.

In this puzzle, you’ll have to rotate the left and right knobs until the Frequency and Amplitude are aligned and both green lights light up. Once solved, the radio will play a Russian voice.

Safe Code

Listen to the Russian voice very carefully, and have subtitles turned on. The radio will repeatedly play a message that will mention 4 objects. Note these objects down.

Look for the objects in the room and shine the Blacklight on them, to see a number. Write down the numbers in the same order as the objects mentioned in the radio message. This is the code to unlock the Safe.

The message will be different in each playthrough and thus the code is randomized. Below are some examples of messages that can be play and their codes:

With the Code in hand, you can now open the Safehouse Safe.

From the main entrance of the Safehouse, head up the stairs and turn left to spot a door near one of the windows. Go inside this room to find the Safe.

You can open the Safe using the Code you’ve found to get the following rewards:

  • $1000 Dollars for Perks and Upgrades
  • Case Cracker Knife Blueprint
  • The Puzzles, Mason Achievement
