The premium release of CoD 2023 is reportedly Modern Warfare 3. From the latest leaks and insider intel, it is clear that the upcoming title will be a continuation of the MW saga.

Call of Duty Modern Warfare is one of the most popular CoD series ever. The first trilogy has cemented its position in the list of classic games. Following the popularity of the series, IW decided to reboot the universe with Modern Warfare in 2019.

MW (2019) quickly became a best-selling title, with millions of players joining for its follow-up BR title Warzone 1. Then, in 2022, IW released the long-awaited sequel MW2, which became the most-sold CoD title ever.

Following the success and unfortunate decline of the game, according to industry insider Tom Henderson Activision has made plans to release CoD 2023 titled Modern Warfare 3 with Sledgehammer Games leading the development with other studios collaborating with them.

According to industry insider Tom Henderson, the next Call of Duty title is Modern Warfare 3. The game’s lead developer studio is Sledgehammer Games, collaborating with Infinity Ward, Raven Software, Treyarch, and Beenox.

Previously, it was reported that MW2 would feature a 70 USD DLC that featured remastered maps from previous games. However, in a recent switch of plans, Activision is reportedly moving forward to a full game release, which will continue the current MW2.

While players were excited about the 2-year CoD cycle, the announcement of a new game leaves players in doubt about the game’s future. Furthermore, Sledgehammer Games getting around one year to develop a full sequel to MW2, raises concern for an already dying game.
