Call of Duty has been doing crossovers for a long time now, and Black Ops 6 is no different.
Squid Game took the world by storm with its first season, becoming one of the most popular shows of all time. And its second season seems to have brought it back to that same popularity once again.
And what other way to capitalize on a franchise’s popularity than a collaboration with a live-service game. The Black Ops 6 and Squid Game event features an all new event pass, progressing through which will earn you skins and a new operator, all based on Squid Game. It also includes new game modes inspired by the games features in Squid Game.
In this article, we’ll be looking at the new game modes you’ll be able to play during the Squid Game Event. These include all new game modes, as well as existing game modes with a Squid Game twist.

All Squid Game Game Modes
Red Light, Green Light (Multiplayer)
This mode is just like the first Squid Game event in both season 1 and 2. In it, you’ll have to cross the length of a football field in the Red Card Stadium.
The catch is, however, that when Young-hee, the big robot on the other side of the field, says Red Light, you’ll have to stop moving. If you move even slightly during Red Light, you’ll be killed.
Each game will have you play three rounds of “Red Light, Green Light.” In the second and third rounds, you’ll be able to pick up weapons on the ground to kill the other players with melee attacks.
Pentathlon (Multiplayer)
Pentathlon is a series of multiplayer modes featuring Domination, Kill Confirmed, Hardpoint, and the two new modes Piggy Bank Team Deathmatch, and Roulette.
In Piggy Bank TDM, every elimination adds to the Mega Piggy Bank. During the match, the payout from the piggy bank will drop, and you’ll have to fight for its possession.
In Roulette, you’ll be able to use the Roulette Handgun. One-shot eliminations with this handgun will give you double the points of a normal elimination. However, the Roulette handgun also has a chance to blow up each time you fire it, killing you instantly.
Squid Game Moshpit (Multiplayer)
Squid Game Moshpit is a playlist that includes Team Deathmatch, Domination, and Hardpoint, but each game mode has a few twists.
There’s a new Scorestreak you can use, “Red Light, Green Light,” which will force all enemies to either stop moving or die.
Moreover, every match will also feature a Mega Piggy Bank. Players have the chance to drop a Piggy Bank, that awards a small score boost when picked up, when they are eliminated. And just like Piggy Bank TDM, once the Mega Piggy Bank drops, players can fight to get all of the built-up score within it.
Lastly, the Roulette Handgun will spawn in the center of the map at the start of each match.
Picking it up will activate a permanent UAV and the gun itself can one shot any enemy. But, picking it up will also mark your location to each enemy, and each shot has a chance to blow the gun up in your face, killing you instantly.
Dead Light, Green Light (Zombies)
This is the Zombies version of “Red Light, Green Light” and is available on Liberty Falls and the new map, Citadelle des Morts.
In the “Green Light” phase, you’ll earn double the Essence, and during “Red Light”, you’ll lose Essence if you move. So, make sure to rack up those kills during Green Light and spend your Essence quickly. After all, it is quite hard to keep still with hordes of zombies around you.
Moreover, The “Dead Light” Phase spawns a tougher wave of enemies.
Squid Game (Call of Duty: Warzone)
In Urzikstan, there will be a rotating series of challenges. At the end of each round, the underperforming squads will be eliminated. These can include several challenges inspired by Squid Game, including Red Light, Green Light.
Other than that, it’s your traditional Battle Royale game mode.
