In this article, we list the Cho’Gath skins from worst to best.

The Terror of the Void, Cho’Gath, is one of the first champions to be introduced to League of Legends on 26th July 2009, months before League of Legends was released. As one of the first champions in the game, he is an iconic champion and one of the few void-themed champions.

Cho’Gath was updated and changed over the years with a rework a few years back. He is still one of the more unique champions with the ultimate giving benefit of getting maximum health. Also, Cho’Gath is one of the few champions with a silence ability in their kit.

Cho’Gath currently sits as a Top lane champion with a decent win rate. He serves a purpose in solo queue games but has not been played much in esports games recently. As Cho’Gath is one of the more unique champions in the game, the champion has no shortage of skins.

8. Nightmare Cho’Gath

  • Release Date: 20th November 2009
  • Price: 520 RP (Legacy Vault)
  • Chromas: 0

This skin has the following features.

  • New Model
  • New VFX and SFX

Nightmare Cho’Gath is almost the same as the base graphics of Cho’Gath. It’s darker and has the same effects of abilities as all skins do. Nothing too special, but given it is a Classic skin. It makes sense for the skin not to be so unique.

7. Loch Ness Cho’Gath

  • Release Date: 1st March 2011
  • Price: 520 RP (Legacy Vault)
  • Chromas: 0

Loch Ness Cho’Gath has the following features.

  • New Model
  • New VFX and SFX

The case is the same for Loch Ness Cho’Gath being a classic skin. A different look and effects look a little different, but not much else. The skins look decent, but that does not warrant a buy for Cho’gath, as better options are available.

6. Jurassic Cho’Gath

  • Release Date: 1st November 2011
  • Price: 975 RP
  • Chromas: 0

Jurassic Cho’Gath has the following features.

  • New Model
  • New VFX and SFX

The Jurassic era inspires the Jurassic Cho’Gath skin as it looks like a skeletal version of the champion. Other than that, it’s pretty much the same with ability effects, taunt, etc. All in all, a nice skin for the theme.

5. Prehistoric Cho’Gath

  • Release Date: 14th June 2015
  • Price: 750 RP
  • Chromas: 0

Let’s talk about the features Prehistoric Cho’Gath has before we talk about it.

  • New Model
  • New VFX and SFX

A dinosaur-inspired-theme skin is the origin of Prehistoric Cho’Gath. Cho’Gath looks like a dinosaur and fits the champion, given his abilities. That is simply why it is rated above Jurassic Cho’Gath. Combined with the fact that the skin is relatively cheap, this is a good get for the price tag.

4. Gentleman Cho’Gath

  • Release Date: 11th May 2010
  • Price: 1820 RP
  • Chromas: 0

The skin has no chromas, but Gentleman Cho’Gath has the following features.

  • New Model
  • New Animations
  • New Recall Animations
  • New VFX and SFX
  • New Voice

Even with skins always making a unique theme, Gentleman Cho’Gath is the strangest Legendary skin. The skin does not fit Cho’Gath’s appearance as a monster, but it just sounds so good. Especially his phrases during ability casting like “Hah Hah” or “Quiet.” Combined with the Aristocratic voice, it is one of those skins that does not look the best, but it’s certainly enjoyable to just have because of the little things.

3. Battlecast Prime Cho’Gath

  • Release Date: 3rd August 2012
  • Price: 1820 RP
  • Chromas: 6

Battlecast Prime Cho’Gath has six chromas, all of which can be bought from the in-game store. Other than that, these are the features of Battlecast Prime Cho’Gath.

  • New Model
  • New Animations
  • New Recall Animations
  • New VFX and SFX
  • New Voice

The second Legendary skin for the champion is Battlecast Prime Cho’Gath, a great part of the Battlecast skin line. The skin has a lot of unique effects to show explosions and such, which vibes with the theme. However, the recall animation leaves much to be desired. Thus, the skin lands on 3rd, given some of the deficiencies in the skin’s effects, along with the skin being a bit dated.

2. Shan Hai Scrolls Cho’Gath

Shan’Hai Cho’Gath has eight chromas, with the Ruby version being a Chroma Bundle Exclusive. Other than that, these are the following features of the skin.

  • New Model
  • New Animations
  • New Recall Animations
  • New VFX and SFX

The newest skin added to the champion is Shan Hai Scrolls Cho’Gath. All the new effects go with the theme of being a mythical monster. The visuals are nice, and the recall animation is the best part of the skin. Eating the Moon and spitting fire is just an excellent animation for recalling. Thus, this is a worthwhile skin to get and the best one you can buy from the shop.

1. Dark Star Cho’Gath

  • Release Date: 13th July 2018
  • Price: 1350 RP
  • Chromas: 0

Being one of the few Mythic skins, Dark Star Cho’Gath has the following features.

  • New Model
  • New Animations
  • New Recall Animations
  • New VFX and SFX
  • Voice Filter
  • The skin has a bit of a transformation effect.

Dark Star Cho’Gath is hands down the best Cho’Gath skin to get. The visuals fit the skin line, and the abilities look great when casting them. The recall animation of opening a rift and jumping in is on point. Lastly, the skin has a transforming animation and a voice filter. All in all, the best skin available for Cho’Gath. The only downside is it cannot be purchased as all Mythic skins are.
