Embark Studios has confirmed that it is aware of an issue causing some Arc Raiders players to miss skill points after completing an Expedition. The update came through an official community message, where Embark said the team is actively investigating the problem and will share more information once it has an update.
Embark Is Investigating the Arc Raiders Missing Skill Points Bug
The issue appears to be tied to Arc Raiders’ Expedition system, where players can earn extra skill points after meeting certain requirements during an Expedition window. Missing out on skill points & rewards can feel especially frustrating, since skill points are one of the biggest reasons to take part in Expeditions.
In the message, Embark told players that it is “aware of the missing skill points issue after completing the expedition” and that the team is “actively investigating.” As of writing, there is no confirmed fix date, compensation plan, or workaround shared by the studio.
Skill points are a major part of progression in Arc Raiders, and Expeditions are designed to reward players who commit to the seasonal reset-style system. Players can earn up to five extra skill points per Expedition by completing the required challenge during the Expedition window.
If the missing points are not being granted properly, affected players may feel like their Expedition progress has not been fully rewarded. This is especially important because Expedition bonuses have been a major point of discussion in the Arc Raiders community since Embark adjusted the system over time, including changes to how players earn skill points and catch up on missed ones.
Arc Raiders Expeditions Have Already Seen Several Changes
Embark has been actively tweaking Expeditions based on player feedback. Earlier updates changed the reward structure from being mainly tied to stash value to a damage-based challenge, with players needing to deal up to 100,000 damage to earn all five skill points in the latest Expedition format.
The studio also introduced a catch-up system for players who missed skill points in earlier Expeditions, allowing them to recover missed points through additional stash value requirements. Because of that, any issue affecting skill point rewards naturally becomes a big concern for players trying to stay caught up.
