Note: You are reading an old article from 2022. So, the information may not be up-to-date.

Apex Legends is a free-to-play Battle Royale game developed by Respawn Entertainment. It was released in February 2019 and took the gaming world by storm. Apex Legends is based on the Titanfall universe, with a strong foundation and lore. It came out when the only other big F2P Battle Royale was Fortnite. Players who don’t enjoy the cartoony graphics of Fortnite were all drawn to Apex Legends.

In Apex Legends, you can either drop down in teams of three or solo to be the last man standing. It’s a typical Battle Royale game, but the difference is that the characters in Apex Legends have different abilities. Players in a team can either use voice or text chat to communicate strategies or make callouts.

Being a F2P game, Apex Legends attracts millions of players from many countries. So, it’s possible that some of them may be toxic. Sometimes, when a teammate plays poorly or makes a bad judgment, other teammates become toxic and flame in the text or voice chat.

Apex Legends has decided to combat this toxicity by introducing a new Live Behavior Filter system that will warn when someone tries to type toxic words in the chat.

Apex Legends Live Behavior Filter System Leak

Renowned Apex Legends leaker and data miner “Shrutgal” revealed details about this system. In the Tweet, they wrote,

Improved “live” behavior filtering. These messages should appear in Team chat if you send a message that violates the “bad word” filter. I’m not going to show the “bad word” filter list, otherwise I suspect I will lose verification.

The Live Behavior Filtering System will show the following messages to anyone trying to type words that violate the “Bad Words” filter.

  • “ADMIN: You are attempting to send messages that go against our community standards. Please maintain a respectful and collaborative environment with your teammates.
  • “ADMIN: Continued messages of this nature will result in a temporary ban from voice and text chat.”
  • “ADMIN: You’ve been suspended from voice & text chat for %d minutes for toxicity.”
  • “ADMIN: Player [%s] has been temporarily suspended from voice and text chat for toxicity.”
  • “ADMIN: We apologize for this inconvenience as we strive to encourage respectful and collaborative team experiences.”
