Since Worlds 2022 is on the horizon, Riot Games will release several Worlds 2022-themed cosmetics, including Team Icons.
League of Legends World Championship is a very iconic part of League of Legends. It’s an annual event where the best teams from all over the world compete against each other.
As Worlds 2022 is around the corner, Riot Games is releasing various Worlds theme skins and cosmetics to hype this event. Some of those cosmetics include Team Icons.
Team Icons are icons that have the logos of teams that are competing. It is one of the most exciting and easiest ways to support your favorite team. Also, 50% of the revenue earned from the Team Icon and Emotes purchases will go directly to the team. That way, players can individually support their favorite teams that way as well.

Worlds 2022 Team Icons will be released in patch 12.18, scheduled to hit live servers on Sept 22, 2022.
