As a part of the ongoing roster change in G2, zeek finds a new home at Acend’s VALORANT roster.
The 19-year-old Polish eSports professional zeek is joining Acend. G2’s massive roster change has led to this slightly unexpected event. It’s evident that G2 wasn’t feeling confident enough to run for the Stage 3 Masters at Berlin with ardiis, patitek & zeek. Failing to qualify for Masters 3 will be the last nail on the coffin, so obviously, G2 is not taking any risks.
After losing their crown to Team Heretics at First Strike back in December of 2020, G2’s VALORANT roster has been unstable. Immediately after the loss, G2 parted ways with their IGL Davidp. Since then, G2 has been struggling to regain its posture in the European VALORANT scene.
zeek thanked G2 for his short 5 months stay in the organization in a Tweet Longer post. Additionally, zeek pointed out that he was having issues with his personal life & the overall covid situation. Furthermore, he also mentioned his inability to join the bootcamp with the team. These are definitely some serious issues that can hinder the performance of any player.
As a part of his new journey, zeek has joined Acend. Much like the Korean Kingslayer NUTURN Gaming, Acend also surpassed their rival Team Heretics in the Grand Final of Stage 1 Masters Europe. The addition of zeek is expected to bring much better results for Acend since their disappointing run at the Stage 2 Challengers 2. Alongside G2, Acend also made amove with their roster by releasing Koldamenta.
