Xenoblade Chronicles 3 is coming out with a new Expansion Pass that will give you many new things. Here is all you need to know about this new expansion pass.

Xenoblade Chronicles 3, as the name suggests, is the third game in the series. It is an action JRPG where you control a group of characters. The game tells a good story using all these characters. The combat starts simple and gets more complex as you progress through the game.

Since it is the 3rd game in the series, the question is whether you need to play the other two or not. And the answer to the question is no; you don’t need to. The game has a self-contained story; if you have played the other ones, you may pick up on a few extra things, but playing the other ones is unnecessary.

The expansion pass for the game adds a lot more stuff on top of the base game. So you will want to get it if you are a fan of the series. We have listed everything you need to know about Xenoblade Chronicles 3 Expansion Pass DLC.

Xenoblade Chronicles 3 Expansion Pass Content

Xenoblade Chronicles 3 Expansion Pass DLC will send out the content of their DLC in four different waves. They have all the content listing on the shop, so you know what you are getting and when. Here are everything you will get in this Pass and the release date for the content.

Wave 1 – (29 July 2022)

The first wave of DLC comes out on 29 July 2022, the same day as the game. It doesn’t contain much content. However, you will get three color variations for some existing outfits, which is the main attraction of this wave. Other than that, you will also get some in-game items and accessories that will help you throughout the game.

Wave 2 – (31 December 2022)

Wave 2 is where things start to get more interesting. This 2nd wave will come out on 31 December 2022, bringing a new game mode called Challenge Battle. Here you can take part in beating difficult encounters with different monsters.

But that is not all; 2nd wave also brings a new hero to the game. From the revealed silhouette of the hero, many assume it will be Pyra from the 2nd Xenoblade Chronicle game. But there is no confirmation on this yet.

Wave 3 – (30 April 2023)

Wave 3 of the Expansion Pass will be added to the game on 30 April 2023. This will improve the challenge mode and expand on it by adding a new rule set. The new rule set is probably going to be a survival mode.

Other than that, you will be getting another new hero and a new outfit. We do not know who the new hero will be on this wave as there is no silhouette for the character yet. It will also feature four other color variants of some existing outfits too.

Wave 4 – (31 December 2023)

Wave 4 is the last expansion pass content, which will be added on 31 December 2023. This will add a brand new in-game Scenario and new story content. These are all the expansion pass rewards you will get in Xenoblade Chronicles 3 paced over a year.
