Cyberpunk just announced that those who buy the one copy of Cyberpunk 2077 for Xbox one will automatically get a free upgrade for the next-gen console. To say this has made the whole internet happy would be an understatement.

So, CD Projekt basically confirmed that there will be an enhanced version of some type available for Cyberpunk. This is a piece of huge news for potential buyers of the game if they were confused about which version of the game to buy.

As it turns out Xbox has learned their lesson for the past and is willing to make backward compatibility a big deal once again. Sony has yet to make an announcement to its counterpart. It will be fascinating to see what PlayStation does in this scenario.

Cyberpunk is one of the most anticipated games of 2020. Microsoft made a good business decision as they have potentially eliminated any potential bottleneck that may arise for anyone who wants to upgrade to the next-gen console.
