The free games line-up with Xbox Live Games with Gold for next month, March 2021 has been revealed quite early.

Xbox Live Games with Gold is a great deal sometimes and other times not so good and this time it feels like the latter. Every month Microsoft gives away 4 games to be playable as long as you have the Xbox Live subscription. Furthermore, if we are lucky Microsoft really goes all out with the free games. We get to play a variety of AAA, indie games of all sorts spanning 3 generations.

Hence, allows older players to relive those childhood moments and younger ones, to play some unmissable games. From Batman, DeadSpace, Assassin’s Creed, Gears of War, etc, tons of amazing games were given away.

But compared to the past few months, Xbox Live free games for next month is pretty disappointing. The Xbox Live Games with Gold games for March 2021 are:

  • Warface: Breakout ($19.99 ERP): Available March 1 to 31
  • Vicious Attack Llama Apocalypse ($14.99 ERP): Available March 16 to April 15
  • Metal Slug 3 ($9.99 ERP): Available March 1 to 15
  • Port Royale 3 ($19.99 ERP): Available March 16 to 31

Although the games are not the worst but compared to last month’s Games with Gold: Gears 5, Resident Evil, Dandara. This feels like a huge letdown. In fact, February 2021 had 5 games.

In the end, we are getting the games at no extra cost, and some of them have local co-op which is always a plus. Especially Metal Slug 3. A timeless classic. Additionally, Warface too is a great game with fast-paced tactical combat.

On the other hand, Port Royale 3 is a unique 17th-century Caribbean era management and simulator. Where you play as a young Captain and choose from being a merchant or an adventurer for glory. Fans of strategy and management games will find this enjoyable.
