On March 2nd, Riot released the 15th VALORANT agent Astra. Professional players from multiple regions utilized Astra’s potential in Tier-1 tournaments. The dynamic duo of Viper & Astra is now the trending meta in the professional community. However, players from the VALORANT community have been complaining about the lack of Sentinel agents in the game.

Back in January, Riot added Yoru to fulfill the 5 duelist fantasy of the casual community. Though the agent was introduced as a “Lurker/Flanker”, European & North American regions largely ignored Yoru in any serious tournaments. Now that, VALORANT’s agent lineup consists of 5 duelists, 4 controllers, 3 Initiators & 3 Sentinels; players are definitely excited to see a new Controller or Sentinel agent.

Thanks to Mike Valorant Leaks & Info, we are aware of the nickname  “Grenadier”. However,  Riot is yet to comment or acknowledge anything about the new agent.

On August 4, 2020, Riot released Killjoy as a Sentinel agent to add new dynamics to the gameplay. Initially, the agent received a lot of negative impressions due to her overpowered abilities which made lurking almost impossible. It’s been 9 months since the introduction of Killjoy as a Sentinel agent, the entire VALORANT community seems to be prepared for the inauguration of another Sentinel agent.

For example, Sentinels like Cypher & Killjoy are less likely to be effective in the large fortress-like compound of Breeze. A new Sentinel agent with improved offensive abilities should fill the gap overnight.
