VALORANT: Riot to introduce leaderboards, How to get ranked gun buddies, and more

As 2020 is about to end, Riot Games just put out some official blogs commemorating what they have done during 2020 and their intentions for VALORANT going into 2021.

The competitive team at Riot Games who are responsible for VALORANT just revealed their goals going into 2021. Apparently, Riot is planning on introducing leaderboards in VALORANT. So, all those top players can finally show off their rankings in more meaningful ways.

Leaderboards are basically a great way for players to show off their ranks within the best of the best. Since some diehard rank grinders were literally pleading to Riot, they finally listened.

Furthermore, Riot claims they are also working on fixing some of the underlying problems that players are facing like AFKers, INTers, etc. They are also focusing a lot on player behavior during a match to improve the overall player experience in the game.

How to get ranked gun buddies

Another big announcement from Riot was the introduction of the ranked gun buddies in VALORANT for the first time. If you really need to show off your rank in more creative ways then seems like Riot got your back.

In ACT 3, VALORANT players will receive gun buddies based on their highest rank. Players will have until January 11th, 2021 to climb the rank ladder. After Jan 11th, players will get their gun buddy based on the highest rank they climbed during ACT 3.
