Cloud9 Blue acts as the flagship VALORANT team for the Los Angeles based organization. Right now, the team is going through a management overhaul. Ash “Chu” Long will no longer hold the position of Head Coach for C9 Blue’s VALORANT roster. The former strategic coach James “JamezIRL” Macauley is set to lead the roster as Head Coach.

Even after showing a decent performance, Cloud9 Blue did not manage to grab a spot in the First Strike’s main event. After losing 2-0 to T1, it was all over for Cloud9 Blue. Meanwhile, TSM, Faze, 100 Thieves & other Tier-1 organizations made it to the finals with relative ease. Cloud9 Blue’s absence in the final event is a huge setback for the organization.

James “JamezIRL” Macauley’s reputation as a coach in the Counter-Strike Esports scene is quite impressive. Previously he worked for Ghost Gaming and Torqued. Needless to say, JamezIRL’s position as the Head Coach will bring some much-needed changes to the roster.
