VALORANT Champions Tour EMEA Stage 2: Format, Seedings, Prize money and more!

VALORANT Champions Tour EMEA Stage 2 is the next phase of VALORANT’s event timeline planned by Riot. Consisting of three regions: Europe, CIS and Turkey, 8 teams will play in the Challengers finals tournament for the €85,500 EUR prize pool and VCT Circuit points.

For Stage 2, the Europe, CIS and Turkey regions have been merged together into a single region. 4 teams from VCT EU Challengers 1 & 2, 3 teams from TR Challengers 1 & 2 and 1 team from CIS Challengers 2 will be selected for the Finals event.

EMEA stage 2 format:

There will be 6 stages.

  • Qualifiers 1: There will be a qualifier for each of the three regions. The best 8 teams will go on to the next event.
  • Main Event 1: There will be a main event for each of the three regions. The top two teams from EU and TR and the top four teams from CIS qualify for Main event 2 as higher seeds.
  • Qualifiers 2: The teams that did not make it in Main event 1 have another chance here. The top two teams from EU and TR and the top four teams from CIS qualify for Main event 2 as lower seeds.
  • Main Event 2: There will be a main event for each of the three regions. The top two teams from EU, one team from TR, and one team from CIS will advance.
  • EMEA Challengers Playoffs: The best 4 teams from EU, 3 from TR and 1 from CIS will compete against each other for the top spots that will go on to Iceland.
  • VCT Masters Reykjavík: This is the spotlight event of stage 2. The top 10 teams from around the world will compete against each other at the first LAN tournament of VALORANT Champions Tour.

Seeding:

Main Event 1: The top 2 EU teams and top 2 TR teams advance to the EMEA Challengers Playoffs. The top 4 CIS teams get a higher seeding for the Main Event 2.
Main Event 2: Top 2 EU teams, top 1 TR team, and top 1 CIS team advance to the EMEA Challengers Playoffs.

VALORANT’s 2021 timeline:

After the events of VCT Stage 1, there have been changes brought in for Stage 2. This time, the Masters event will be of 7 regions instead of 9. The main event of stage 2 is going to be the first VALORANT Global LAN event in Iceland.
