Riot made massive changes to the overall agent meta starting with Episode 2 in 2021.
Before Episode 2, duelist agents were dominating the professional scene and agents like Brimstone and Viper were getting left in the dust. However, that is no longer the case as Riot actually made some significant changes to the whole character meta.

Episode 2 targeted duelist agents like Jett and Reyna and nerfed them down to the earth. At the same time, Omen received some significant changes. In this tier list, we will try to demonstrate the current power ranking within the agents.
Since ACT 2 patch 2.04 introduced a new controller agent to the mix, the whole tier list is slightly spicier than before as the new agent is proving to be really useful in all levels of competition. As with every other tier list, this one is extremely subjective. This list will be updated after every major patch in ACT 2.
S-tier:
S-tier agents are very versatile in VALORANT. Meaning they can be picked in almost all the maps in the game.
A-tier:
A tier agents are good but not a must pick just like S-tier agents.
B-tier:
B-tier agents are more of a situational pick meaning they shine only in a select map or a very specific scenario.

The current VALORANT meta has evolved quite a bit since its inception back in 2020. However, keep in mind, this tier list is only viable for patch 2.04. With future patches, this tier list will also be updated.
