Developer Iron Gate is back with yet another update for Valheim, which fixes some sound issues and introduces some quality-of-life updates.
The Norse themed survival game Valheim had over 300,000 concurrent players in less than 2 weeks of its launch in early February. The indie title has also recently surpassed 6 million copies sales mark, and it doesn’t seem to be slowing down anytime soon.
The game is still in early access and Iron Gate Studios is pushing out constant patches to improve the gameplay experience for all the players. Although Patch 0.148.7 seems small, it still packs a punch with new walk-sneak snow footstep SFX, reduced delay when using the Hammer, Hoe & Cultivator for a smoother experience, and more.
Valheim Update 0.148.7 – Full Patch Notes
Cute mini-tweak patch =)
* Localization updates
* Added separate walk-sneak snow footstep sfx
* Music update ( fixed some sound glitches )
* Credits updated ( Changed the look of the credits screen & added missing names )
* Hammer,Hoe & Cultivator timing & input tweaks ( Slightly lower use delay & queued button presses for a smoother experience…just for you )
It is mighty impressive for a development team of only 5 people to make this game and see such massive popularity. Iron Gate is now trying to expand their studio as they push the next big โHearth and Homeโ update, which is in the works. This big update will introduce new aspects of house building, food recipes, and more. The devs didn’t share much info about the upcoming update, except for a little sneak peek that you can see below:
Valheim is currently in early access, and available on PC via Steam.
