A new patch dropped today on the Rainbow Six Siege Test Servers, which apparently fixes the new recoil bug introduced with Crimson Heist.
After the Y6S1 Crimson Heist update went live, Siege players noticed a subtle recoil change, which wasn’t mentioned in the patch notes. This weird recoil bug was messing up with the player’s muscle memory. More importantly, the professional players had to adjust to these changes just a day before the start of the regional leagues.
As reported by AherysR6, the new “recoil bug” was, sometimes, causing a huge acceleration to a side, throwing-off players’ aim. The bug was happening randomly, which made it difficult to reproduce and test them.
Now with the new patch rolling out on the R6S Test Server, Siege devs are asking players to try out the new update and provide feedback on the recoil.
Team Vitality’s coach Helbee has tested out the new fix, and it apparently does work. According to his tests, the recoil pattern should revert to the way it was before the Crimson Heist update launched.
“If everything goes well with the fix, it will be on live servers soon enough!” said Ubisoft.
Ubisoft is still working on a fix for the other bugs, including the drone spawn glitch on Border and the game still running in the background after exiting. Hopefully, all these will be fixed with a new patch soon.
