Monster Hunter Rise and Monster Hunter Stories 2: Wings of Ruin will be Switch exclusives.
After a lot of insider rumors and speculations, Switch fans are finally getting what they yearned for so long. Not one but two Monster Hunter games coming to Nintendo Switch. Furthermore, both games will be releasing in 2021. During yesterday’s Nintendo Direct mini showcase, Capcom announced Monster Hunter Rise and Monster Hunter Stories 2: Wings of Ruin.
Monster Hunter Stories 2 will be the sequel to the Monster Hunter Stories spin-off game originally in the 3ds.

Meanwhile, Monster Hunter Rise will be the next entry to the mainline series. Additionally, Monster Hunter Rise will add new monsters, gameplay mechanics, and also a new companion, the dog-like Palamute to go alongside the cat-like Palico. Most importantly, the game will offer an open-world Monster Hunter experience with 4 player co-op.
After the spectacular Monster Hunter World release in 2018 for PC, Xbox One, and PS4; that pushed this RPG into the mainstream, Switch gamers were kind of left out. Although Nintendo did release a port of Monster Hunter 4 Ultimate, an older title. Fans still demanded a fresh mainline Monster Hunter title fit for their new console.
After a long silence and a lot of leaks, die-hard fans have been waiting for this moment. In the end, Nintendo delivered with two Monster Hunter games. Hence, excitement is at an all-time high within the Switch community.
Monster Hunter Rise will release on March 26 2021 and Monster Hunter Stories 2 in the summer of 2021. On a side note, the live-action movie will also be coming out within the same window. So 2021 will be a big year for both Capcom and fans of this wonderful RPG series.
