Twitch Streamer Pokimane Has Been Banned

Popular Twitch streamer Pokimane has been banned.

Imane Anys or more commonly known online as Pokimane is a Moroccan-Canadian streamer and Internet Personality. She is famous for her Twitch Livestreams and gameplay videos. Pokimane is also part of OfflineTV, a group of online content creators.

Pokimane is one of the most successful Twitch streamers on the platform. her Twitch channel currently has more than 8 million followers. She is currently ranked #74 on Twitch and averages more than 20,000 viewers.

Recently, Pokimane was banned on Twitch recently. A Twitter bot called Streamerbans published the news of Pokimane’s ban. According to streamerbans website, This is Pokimane’s first-ever ban on Twitch.

The reason for Poki’s ban was copyright infringement. Apparently, she was watching anime during her last stream. Pokimane soon responded on Twitter about the ban. She wrote,

“The fire nation attacked”

implying that she was probably watching “Avatar” during her stream and got DMCA takedown. She also confirmed that the suspension is 48 hours long. She will also do a 12-hour long comeback stream when her suspension ends.
