There will be no micro transaction and in-app purchases in Age of Empires 4 made by Microsoft


Age of Empires 4 is one of the most beloved real time strategy game. Microsoft has released a new trailer for the game. This time there will be no micro transaction and in app purchases. Rather they will launch this game with there Xbox game pass or purchase the game outright.

Micro transaction and in app purchases are not an ideal business model for an RTS game. Microsoft understood the importance of not including unnecessary monetary system to this genre of video game. They decided that this type of game should be left without such implementation of micro transaction.

At this time, Isgreen explained that Microsoft’s new Age of Empires studio World’s Edge will be working towards new expansions and DLC contents.
